Games for Change (G4C) is heading to the UK for the very first time, with the Games for Change London Summit confirmed as part of London Games Festival 2026. The one-day event will take place on Wednesday 15 April, running from 9am to 5pm at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge.
The Summit forms part of the wider London Games Festival programme, which runs from 13–19 April 2026, bringing a global spotlight to the UK games industry.
Bringing the “Sundance of Video Games” to London
Often described by media as the “Sundance of Video Games”, Games for Change has spent more than two decades empowering game creators, educators, students, and social innovators to drive real-world impact through games and immersive media.
With international chapters and partnerships across six continents, and the continued success of its flagship festival in New York City, the London Summit marks a major milestone as the organisation brings its world-changing mission to the UK for the first time.
A Day Focused on Games and Social Impact
Delivered in partnership with London Games Festival, the Games for Change London Summit will bring together games industry professionals, researchers, educators, innovators, and policy-makers for a full day of talks, panels, and roundtable discussions.
The focus of the event is clear: exploring how games can be used as a force for positive social change, from education and health to sustainability and civic engagement.
The Summit is curated by George E. Osborn, Editor of Video Games Industry Memo and author of the forthcoming non-fiction book Power Play.
Advisory Board Supporting the London Summit
The event agenda is being shaped with the support of a dedicated Games for Change London advisory board, made up of long-time supporters of the movement:
- Jude Ower MBE – Chief Strategy Officer, Planet Play
- James Delaney – Founder and Managing Director, Blockworks
- Sarah Ticho – Director, Hatsumi & Joint Managing Director, XR Health Alliance
