RuneScape has expanded Havenhythe once again, with Havenhythe Part II now available to members. Described as the largest area expansion in the MMORPG’s 25-year history, the latest update brings four new areas to explore, fresh skilling activities, new rewards and the next major confrontation with the growing Sanguine threat.
The update also brings the Havenhythe storyline towards its dramatic conclusion, giving veteran players a new challenge while adding plenty of activities for those more interested in exploring, gathering resources and developing their skills.

Four New Areas to Explore in Havenhythe
Havenhythe Part II continues to build out the region introduced earlier this year, with four brand-new areas opening up for members to explore.
The expansion is designed to cater to different types of RuneScape players, whether their preference is questing, combat or skilling. Alongside the continuation of the main storyline, the new locations provide additional opportunities to train skills and collect resources.
Players will also encounter dangerous new creatures as the Sanguine threat becomes increasingly difficult to ignore.
New RuneScape Skilling Activities and Rewards
The second part of Havenhythe isn’t just about completing the storyline. The update introduces new ways to train and develop several skills, with players able to discover new resources and activities throughout the expanded region.
One of the headline rewards is an ultra-rare best-in-slot hatchet, giving dedicated players another valuable item to chase. Havenhythe also introduces Bogolin Pearls, which can be collected and exchanged for local rewards and upgrades.
There are also Chima Moss Spools, providing a stackable source of bowstring resources, alongside a Bogolin Knife and Bogolin Torch. Players can also find new sources of standard rune essence as they explore the region.
New Mining Content Comes to Havenhythe
Mining players have another reason to head into the new areas, although accessing the new mining activity requires players to meet the appropriate requirements.
The activity requires 65 Mining and 51 Crafting, providing another high-level skilling option within the Havenhythe expansion.
RuneScape Havenhythe Part II Skill Requirements
Players won’t be able to immediately access everything Havenhythe Part II has to offer. The expansion is aimed particularly at more experienced members and comes with several skill requirements.
To experience the conclusion of the Havenhythe storyline, players must first complete the Secrets of Amberfell quest. Members will also need to meet the following skill requirements:
- 51 Crafting
- 55 Herblore
- 65 Mining
- 60 Smithing
The new mining activity has its own requirements, with players needing 65 Mining and 51 Crafting to take part.
The Sanguine Threat Reaches a Climax
The story introduced with Havenhythe earlier this year now moves towards its conclusion as players face the escalating Sanguine threat.
While the first part of the expansion introduced players to the region and provided the first glimpse of the new danger, Havenhythe Part II raises the stakes with a major battle to defend the area.
Jagex has also added dangerous new beasts for veteran adventurers to face, ensuring that the combat side of the expansion has plenty to offer alongside the new skilling content.
A New Bangolin Quest Adds Some Fun
Not everything in Havenhythe Part II is focused on high-level combat and the main storyline. The update also introduces a standalone Bangolin quest, described as a more whimsical adventure that gives players something different to experience away from the central conflict.
It provides another reason to explore the expanded region even after players have dealt with the main Havenhythe storyline.
Jagex on the Havenhythe Expansion
Bradley Hickey, Lead Game Designer at RuneScape, explained that the latest update is intended to build on the foundations established when Havenhythe first arrived in Gielinor.
“Havenhythe’s arrival on Gielinor earlier this year opened a new region for players of all levels to explore, while offering the first glimpse of a new threat: the Sanguine. Today’s update raises the stakes for veteran adventurers, introducing brand new skilling content, new training methods, powerful rewards and dangerous new beasts to slay, before bringing this chapter of the Havenhythe’s storyline to a dramatic close.”
RuneScape Havenhythe Part II Is Available Now
Havenhythe Part II is now available to RuneScape members, expanding the region with four new areas, additional skilling content, new resources and rewards, a standalone Bangolin quest and the climactic next stage of the Sanguine storyline.
With the expansion building on Havenhythe’s original arrival earlier this year, players who have been following the story now have an opportunity to see this chapter through while those focused on skilling have new activities and rewards to work towards.
