Razer has unveiled the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, a premium PlayStation 5 controller that combines high-end materials, tournament-focused performance and a rather exclusive production run. Limited to just 1,337 individually numbered units, this is Razer taking its flagship controller range into luxury territory.
The Raiju name dates back to 2016, and Razer says the Signature Edition represents a decade of development and refinement. Built around a lightweight magnesium alloy exoskeleton, it has been designed for players who want precision and customisation without sacrificing build quality or appearance.
Magnesium Alloy Meets Premium Finishes
The most noticeable feature is the controller’s magnesium alloy construction, chosen for its combination of strength and low weight. Despite the more substantial material choice, the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition weighs just 260g.
The handles feature a matte black textured TPU grip designed to resist oils and abrasion, while the glass touchpad has a tinted, semi-transparent finish with laser-etched Razer branding. This gives a glimpse of the polygonal design underneath.
The action buttons, directional pad and secondary controls use double-shot PBT construction, with matte black finishes and subtle tone-on-tone icons. Razer says this approach helps prevent the legends from fading while resisting oil build-up during extended use.
An open-polygonal design runs across the top and rear of the controller, with chamfered edges intended to create a smooth feel in the hands. A nano coating protects the exposed internal elements from debris while retaining the distinctive look.
Charlie Bolton, Global Head of Design at Razer, says the Signature Edition was created to push the company’s engineering and design capabilities to their limits, bringing tournament-grade responsiveness together with a more distinctive finish.
TMR Thumbsticks and Six Customisable Buttons
Of course, a premium controller still needs to perform when the game gets serious. The Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition features a symmetrical thumbstick layout with contactless TMR thumbstick sensors, designed to deliver precise aiming, track fast-moving targets and offer improved durability.
There are also six mappable multifunction buttons, two claw-grip bumpers and four mouse-click back buttons. These give players plenty of options for assigning frequently used actions, from sliding and melee attacks to equipment and gadgets, without needing to take their thumbs off the sticks.
The controller is designed for PlayStation 5 and optimised for PC. When using Razer HyperPolling Wireless on PC, it supports polling rates of up to 2,000Hz, offering faster input registration and movement tracking.
Custom Profiles and Wireless Connectivity
Players can tailor the controller through Razer Synapse or the Razer PS mobile app. Button remapping, thumbstick sensitivity and trigger response can all be adjusted, with custom profiles saved onboard.
Wireless connectivity is handled through the included Razer HyperSpeed Wireless dongle, providing low-latency connectivity on PS5 and PC. Those who prefer a wired connection can use the supplied USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable, which also supports recharging.
Premium Accessories Included
Razer is also supplying a collection of accessories to let owners adjust the controller to their preferred setup.
The package includes:
- Premium leatherette carrying case: For storage and displaying the controller.
- Alternative thumbstick caps: Short convex and tall concave options for different preferences.
- Four swappable back button covers: Allowing players to customise the button layout and finish.
- Anodised aluminium replacement tool: For changing the back buttons.
- Razer HyperSpeed Wireless dongle: For wireless connectivity on PS5 and PC.
- USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable: For wired play and recharging.
A Controller for Razer Collectors and Competitive Players
The Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition certainly isn’t an everyday controller launch. With its magnesium alloy construction, TMR thumbsticks, extensive button customisation and 2,000Hz PC wireless polling, it brings together plenty of features aimed at demanding players.
However, the biggest talking point may be that production is limited to just 1,337 individually numbered units. That makes this a particularly exclusive addition to the Raiju range, especially for Razer enthusiasts and collectors.
