Battlefield Combat: Gunplay Updates | Battlefield 6
Wet Work Event Introduces Contract-Based Gameplay
The new Wet Work Event introduces a contract system where players can collect objectives dropped by eliminated enemies during matches.
Contracts may include tasks such as eliminations, looting chests, capturing objectives, or surviving for a set duration. Players can complete these objectives across both REDSEC and multiplayer modes.
The focus of Wet Work is fast decision-making, survival, and adapting mid-match to shifting objectives while competing against other squads.
Tactical Obliteration Mode Arrives
A new version of Obliteration, called Tactical Obliteration, has also been introduced as part of Season 3.
This smaller-scale 8v8 mode focuses on coordinated squad play and high-intensity objective combat. It is available through Verified Portal and is designed for players who prefer structured, competitive matches.
Casual Battle Royale Adds More Accessible Gameplay
Casual Battle Royale has been added to REDSEC, offering a more relaxed version of the standard Battle Royale experience.
This mode includes AI bots to help fill matches, creating smoother pacing and more manageable engagements for newer players or those testing loadouts.
The goal of the mode is to provide a more approachable entry point into Battle Royale while still keeping player-driven combat at the centre of matches.
Gunplay Updates and Gameplay Improvements
Season 3 also introduces updated gunplay improvements, refining weapon handling and combat flow as part of ongoing balancing changes across both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC.
These adjustments aim to improve responsiveness and overall combat consistency across different playstyles.
