Composed of 12 professional teams and representing 11 markets across North America and Europe, the Call of Duty League is a global, city-based esports league. In its inaugural season, pro teams will compete in 5-versus-5 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer matches, on PlayStation 4. Bringing together the best Call of Duty esports players from around the globe, the professional competition showcases the battle for the ultimate prize: The Call of Duty League Championship.
“It is extremely important to us that the inaugural London Home Series spotlights not only the most exciting international music artists, but also top UK musicians, including Area 11 and HYYTS, as part of this historic event,” commented London Royal Ravens Managing Director Michael ‘ODEE’ O’Dell, who also serves as Chief Gaming Officer for parent company ReKTGlobal. “London is home to some of the most enthusiastic esports fans in the world. While we’re eager to bring the Call of Duty League championship home, we also are excited to connect with fans by offering them an experience they’ll never forget while attending the London Royal Ravens’ first home event.”
Modern day rock stars, Area 11’s breakthrough moment came in 2013 with the anime-inspired full-length project, All the Lights in the Sky, and led to the development of the band’s cross-genre sound. Vocalist Thomas “Sparkles*” Clarke, lead guitarist Alex Parvis, bassist and multi-instrumentalist John Kogan, and drummer Leo Taylor pride themselves on pushing boundaries and exploring their own originality and creativity. With a recently announced headline tour, new hit single “Desaturate,” and a fresh line of winter merchandise, 2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the four-man band.
HYYTS, the talented Scottish pop duo infamous for their infectious performance energy, will also grace the stage during the epic Home Series concert. Adam and Sam (a retired professional Call of Duty player) blasted on to the scene in 2018 with HYYTS’ debut single “Butterflies In My Head” and were the only unsigned act to perform at the Scottish Music Awards that year. Signed to iconic record label Warner Records, HYYTS released a debut five-track “EEPEE” and kicked off the year with a sold-out show at the Glasgow Poetry Club and confirmed festival slots at both Electric Fields and Loopallu.
The London Royal Ravens Home Series will debut a tournament-style format that is familiar to the legacy of Call of Duty esports and former Call of Duty World League format, which featured pool play followed by a playoff bracket. Coupled with a new points system, the updated format will deliver an impactful, competitive experience for all. In addition to the hometown London Royal Ravens team, the Home Series weekend will feature the Chicago Huntsmen, Dallas Empire, Los Angeles Guerrillas, New York Subliners, Seattle Surge, Toronto Ultra and our European Rivals the Paris Legion.
To attend the Home Series events we have single day and weekend passes to cheer on the London Royal Ravens as they compete to reign over the weekend bracket and add to their individual season point total on the road to the championship, visit https://royalravens.seetickets.com/tour/call-of-duty-league-royal-ravens.
