Dauntless has become one of the latest releases on PlayStation 5.
Following on from the original Dauntless, the new guise of this game has been given a fresh upgrade. Among the array of enhancements, includes 4K resolutions, stunning new textures, and up to 90% faster load times.
There are some other razor-sharp developments, such as a new behemoth, Sahvyt. Many fans will be familiar with this behemoth, which follows on from the original version of the game, known as the Call to Arms.
With the impressive audio and immersive nature of the game, the Shattered Isles has never looked so good. Dauntless, which is a monster-hunter style game, has a particular gaming philosophy, but it is essentially a fast and satisfying combat system.
Monster hunter style games have shaken up the industry in a way that few would have possibly imagined. There are so many video games that have flooded the market over the past few years, which have encompassed the theme of Monster Hunter. The Mortal Kombat franchise, for example, sticks out and it remains a timeless classic.
And the monster-hunter theme has even moved over into the casino environment, where fans want to play gory games that will keep their pulses racing. You can find some of these slots at top online casinos such as LeoVegas, where you can try out Mythic Maiden or VooDoo Magic.
Monster Hunter, of course, was also a film that came out in 2020, and hunting down masters continues to resonate, attracting the throes of loyal gaming fans today. Dauntless falls into this category, and they even have an official merchandise store, where fans can get their hands on everything from figurines to hoodies.
But is Dauntless worth playing? Well, it certainly mirrors many aspects of Call to Arms, and it is a fast and fluid game.
Of course, making comparisons to previous gaming titles can be a dangerous thing to do.
However, Dauntless supports crossplay and cross-progression, and it is one of the most compatible free-to-play titles around.
There are 35 different behemoths, as well as the new Slayer’s Path, which contains a progression tree to unlock useful bonuses, to keep players entertained. So, all in all, there are plenty of things to master.
Dauntless, however, doesn’t feel out of place, and it should be a welcome addition to the PS5 roster of titles.
