Rhino Rock Studios has officially confirmed the upcoming release of its high-intensity VR shooter OUTBLAST, launching on June 4, 2026.
Designed as a fast-paced, adrenaline-fuelled arcade experience, OUTBLAST puts players in the cockpit of interceptor unit C11-28, tasked with defending the planet’s core from a rapidly spreading viral threat known as Typhon.
The game will support both VR headsets and traditional flat-screen play, allowing players to experience the chaos either immersed in virtual reality or from a classic arcade perspective.

Defend Perseon-6 from Total Collapse
Set on the collapsing world of Perseon-6, players are the last line of defence against infected constructs and system-wide corruption caused by Typhon’s viral intelligence. With standard defence systems already failing, survival now depends entirely on the player’s reflexes, precision, and adaptability.
Gameplay revolves around constant movement and rapid decision-making as players boost through space, unleash powerful attacks, and survive endless waves of enemies attempting to overwhelm the system’s core.
Across five distinct districts, players will face increasingly dangerous enemy formations and elite boss encounters while attempting to stabilise the collapsing planetary network.
Five Legendary Bosses and Endless Combat Pressure
OUTBLAST features five major boss encounters, each inspired by mythological figures and designed to test different combat skills and survival strategies.
Players will battle against Hydra, Gorgon, Minotaur, Siren, and ultimately the core antagonist Typhon, each escalating the challenge as the infection spreads further across the system.
Combat is designed to remain constant and high-energy, with no downtime between waves. Players must continuously adapt, upgrade their ship mid-battle, and gather data fragments to improve offensive and defensive capabilities.
Upgrade, Compete, and Survive
One of the core mechanics in OUTBLAST is its in-combat upgrade system, allowing players to evolve their ship in real time using collected resources. These upgrades are essential for surviving later stages where enemy intensity ramps up significantly.
Players can also compete globally through online leaderboards, pushing for high scores, kill streaks, and speed-based performance rankings. The competitive layer is designed to encourage replayability and mastery of movement and combat systems.
For achievement hunters, the game will include 15 Steam achievements, rewarding skillful play such as flawless runs, high combo chains, and efficient boss takedowns.
