Moonlighter 2 The Endless Vault continues its Early Access journey with the release of the brand-new Blob-Life Balance update, bringing adorable Bloblet companions, fresh gameplay systems, tougher challenges, and major shop upgrades to the dungeon-crawling shopkeeper adventure.
The update is the game’s second major content expansion ahead of its planned full launch later this year, adding an entirely new layer of progression and customization for players balancing dungeon runs with running their own business.
At the heart of the update are the newly introduced Bloblets, fashionable companion creatures that players can discover during treasure-hunting expeditions. By completing specific in-game tasks, players earn a new currency that can be spent adopting these stylish pets, each featuring their own unique outfits and personalities.
Once settled inside Will’s growing shop, Bloblets provide helpful gameplay bonuses when interacted with at the right moment, including temporary boosts to relic value, increased customer tips, and additional business perks that make shopkeeping even more rewarding.

New Vendors, Shop Upgrades, and Weapons
The Blob-Life Balance update also introduces a brand-new Pet Seller vendor, expanding the range of merchants players can interact with throughout the game.
Will’s shop can now be upgraded all the way to Level 4, allowing for a much larger and more efficient storefront as players continue expanding their business empire between dungeon runs.
Outside the shop, players will also gain access to a variety of new weapons and combat options. One of the most notable additions is the new Poison combat path, which rewards players for stacking poison damage on enemies over time to create increasingly deadly effects during combat encounters.
The new systems continue to build on Moonlighter 2’s blend of roguelite dungeon crawling and shop management gameplay that made the original title such a fan favourite.
Very Hard Difficulty Arrives for Veteran Players
For players looking for an even greater challenge, the update also introduces a brutal new Very Hard difficulty mode.
Designed specifically for experienced adventurers, the new mode significantly increases the challenge throughout dungeon exploration and combat encounters, pushing players to fully master the game’s mechanics and progression systems.
The developers jokingly warn that the mode is “not for the faint of blob,” but it should provide hardcore players with the demanding experience many have been asking for during Early Access.
More Content Planned Ahead of Full Launch
The Blob-Life Balance update also introduces the game’s sixth Vault challenge, continuing the unfolding story as players progress deeper into the mysterious Endless Vault.
There is still more content planned before the game reaches version 1.0 later this year, including the final narrative chapter, the seventh Vault challenge, additional shop improvements, a completed in-game Codex, and full console releases.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is currently available on PC via Early Access, with the full release planned for PC, Xbox Series X|S (including Xbox Game Pass), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
