New 48-Team International Tournament Mode
A brand-new tournament mode is arriving in EA SPORTS FC 26 on June 4, introducing a full international competition format built around group stages, knockout rounds, and a final showdown.
Players will compete in a 48-team structure starting with group matches before progressing into knockout stages from the round of 32 onwards. Every match matters, with progression leading to a chance to lift international silverware.
53 National Teams Bring Global Football Together
The World’s Game update features 53 fully licensed national teams, including 41 qualified nations reflecting real-world international competition. Players can represent countries such as England, Germany, France, USA, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Italy, and many more.
Each national team includes authentic kits, crests, and player likenesses, delivering a more immersive international football experience. Newly strengthened licensing agreements also bring full authenticity to Brazil, Spain, and Portugal.

*Some nations will initially feature generic kits and will be updated with official designs in a future update.
New Stadiums and Match Atmosphere
EA SPORTS FC 26 is also adding new stadiums to improve matchday immersion, including Gillette Stadium and BMO Field, alongside a brand-new arena called Central Maw designed specifically for international competition atmospheres.
These additions sit alongside the game’s wider authenticity features, including over 20,000 players, 750+ clubs and national teams, more than 120 stadiums, and 35 leagues supported by 300+ football partners.
FC Mobile Expansion and Cross-Platform Play
The World’s Game update also extends into EA SPORTS FC Mobile, where players can jump directly into knockout tournaments or customise their own round of 16 competition format.
This ensures a consistent international football experience across both mobile and console platforms, giving players more flexibility in how they compete on the global stage.
Kick Off and Ultimate Team Additions
Players will also be able to enjoy international matchups in Kick Off mode, selecting from over 50 national teams to create custom fixtures and rewrite football history.
Ultimate Team is also expanding with a dedicated Event Hub and weekly Festival of Football themed content, adding more ways to engage with international competition.
