Razer has announced the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz, the latest addition to its Huntsman V3 Pro lineup and its most advanced analog optical keyboard yet in a compact 60% form factor.
Building on Razer’s Analog Optical Switches Gen-2, Rapid Trigger and adjustable actuation technology, the new keyboard adds true 8000 Hz HyperPolling alongside Razer’s full Advanced Input Control suite. This includes Razer Snap Flex, Razer Snap Tap, Dynamic Keystroke and Dual-Keypress Priority.
The compact layout is designed to provide competitive players with more room to manoeuvre their mouse while also making the keyboard easier to transport to tournaments and LAN events.
Razer Pushes Analog Optical Performance Further
At the heart of the Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz are Razer’s Analog Optical Switches Gen-2. The switches feature Rapid Trigger for fast repeated inputs and an adjustable actuation range between 0.1 mm and 4.0 mm, allowing players to tune the keyboard to their preferred setup.
Razer also rates the switches for a lifespan of 100 million keystrokes. The company says the switches are factory calibrated for accuracy and are approximately 2.5 times more accurate than its closest competitor, achieving what Razer describes as true 0.1 mm precision.
Each switch is individually lubricated and positioned within a thick foam dampening layer, with Razer aiming to provide a smoother keystroke and more muted typing acoustic.
True 8000 Hz HyperPolling
The headline upgrade is the addition of true 8000 Hz HyperPolling. Razer says the polling rate is eight times faster than the industry standard and achieved a measured latency of 0.48 ms during its testing, which the company says is 26% faster than its nearest competitor.
The keyboard also brings together Razer’s Advanced Input Control features, including Snap Flex, Snap Tap, Dynamic Keystroke and Dual-Keypress Priority. These features are designed to give competitive players additional control over how individual keystrokes are registered and prioritised.
Compact 60% Design Built for Competitive Gaming
The Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz uses a compact 60% layout, giving players more space for mouse movement while keeping the keyboard small enough to easily transport between events.
The top case is constructed from 5052 aluminium alloy and features a brushed metal finish, while textured doubleshot PBT keycaps are designed to resist shine and fading during extended use.
Razer has also included dual-purpose modifier keys that can function as four-way arrow keys when tapped, providing navigation functionality without requiring a larger keyboard layout.
Six Profiles and Browser-Based Configuration
Players can adjust the keyboard’s actuation height and Rapid Trigger sensitivity directly from the number row, without needing software. Up to six profiles can be stored on the keyboard’s onboard memory.
The keyboard also supports Synapse Web, allowing users to configure settings through a web browser without installing Razer Synapse software. This includes adjustments to keyboard actuation and Razer Chroma RGB Quick Effects, with settings capable of being saved to onboard profiles for use across different PCs.
