Fancy stepping into the shoes of a young James Bond without spending anything? IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have made that possible with the release of a free Starter Pack for 007 First Light, giving players the chance to experience the opening mission of the game.
Available now on PC via Steam and Xbox Series X|S, the Starter Pack takes players to Iceland for the beginning of Bond’s adventure. It’s a chance to get a taste of IO Interactive’s take on the legendary spy without having to buy the full game first.
PlayStation players won’t have to wait much longer either, with the free Starter Pack arriving on PS5 on November 10th.
PlayStation Plus Premium Members Get a Timed Trial
There’s another way to try the game if you’re a PlayStation Plus Premium subscriber. Members can access an exclusive one-hour timed trial of 007 First Light, offering a limited opportunity to see what the game has to offer.
One particularly welcome feature is that progress carries over. Whether you’re playing through the free Starter Pack or the PlayStation timed trial, any progress made can be transferred to the full game if you decide to purchase it. There’s no need to start your adventure all over again.
007 First Light Gets Discounts of Up to 50%
Alongside the free content, IO Interactive is offering some substantial discounts on the full game for a limited time. The savings vary depending on the platform:
- PC (Steam): 40% off from November 5th to November 9th.
- Xbox Series X|S: 40% off from November 5th to November 15th.
- PlayStation 5: 50% off from November 5th to November 30th.
That makes this a particularly good opportunity for anyone who has been waiting to pick up 007 First Light, especially with the chance to try the opening mission before committing to a purchase.
