ARC Raiders is stepping things up with its latest content drop, introducing players to the dangerous new region of Riven Tides. Fresh scout reports have finally surfaced, revealing fragments of what lies beyond — abandoned coastlines, eerie footage, and long-lost locations now ready to be explored.
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to jump back in, this is it. But fair warning — the Rust Belt isn’t getting any easier.
ARC Raiders Riven Tides Update | ARC Raiders
Explore the New Map: Riven Tides
Located on the western edge of the Rust Belt, Riven Tides is a haunting stretch of deserted shoreline that’s been abandoned not once, but twice. First during the Exodus, and again after survivors failed to defend it against ARC forces.
Now, it’s yours to explore — from the crumbling luxury of the Panorama Azzurro hotel to the towering remains of an Exodus-era dockyard. It’s packed with loot, danger, and plenty of verticality to keep you on edge.
But you won’t be alone. Other Raiders are already moving in, hunting for whatever valuables remain.
New Enemy: ARC Turbine
One of the standout additions in this update is the ARC Turbine — a strange, floating machine that drifts silently across the skies.
At a distance, it looks almost peaceful. Get closer, though, and things change quickly.
Its defensive capabilities make it one of the more intense encounters in the game so far, demanding patience, awareness, and a solid strategy. This isn’t something you can just rush head-on.
New Map Mechanic: Beachcombing
Riven Tides introduces a new minor map condition called Beachcombing, adding a fresh layer to looting.
Players can use the Dockmaster’s Detector to scan the sand for hidden loot buried beneath the surface. The catch? It takes up a weapon slot, and the best loot is often found in wide-open, exposed areas.
Risk vs reward is very real here.
New Gear: Crash Mat and Powered Descender
Traversal gets a big shake-up with two new items designed to help you survive dangerous drops:
- Crash Mat – Absorb impact and survive falls that would normally take you out.
- Powered Descender – Control your descent and reposition safely from high ground.
In a map filled with cliffs, buildings, and vertical combat opportunities, these could quickly become must-have tools.
Limited-Time Event: Last Resort
Running until May 25, the Last Resort event rewards players simply for playing.
XP earned during matches converts into Merits, which can then be spent across three pages of rewards. You can boost your gains by tracking down hidden Ship Models scattered across maps.
Rewards include:
- Junior Outfit
- Hydrologist Backpack
- Hose Attachment
- Brass Faucet Charm
- New emotes
- Up to 250 Raider Tokens
New Raider Project: Avian Alarm
A new multi-stage Raider project, Avian Alarm, introduces a more strategic objective-based system.
You’ll need to deploy cages along buoys in Riven Tides to capture birds, building a makeshift detection system that reacts to environmental changes.
Complete all five stages to unlock:
- Dockmaster’s Detector
- Gel Patches
- Bird House Backpack Attachment
- Fist In Air Emote
- 250 Raider Tokens
New Cosmetics Rolling Out
As expected, there’s a fresh wave of cosmetics landing alongside the update.
Available at launch:
- Solare Set – Ritual-inspired, layered and ceremonial
- Rachetta Set – Bright, athletic, and built for speed over stealth
Coming throughout May:
- Corsaro Set – A techno-sea captain look with mechanical upgrades
- Castaway Set – Rugged and independent survival gear
- Sandveil Set – Subtle, patient, and built for endurance
Final Thoughts
This is one of the most substantial updates ARC Raiders has seen so far. A new map, a unique enemy, meaningful gameplay mechanics, and a solid event loop all combine to make Riven Tides feel like more than just a content drop — it’s a real evolution of the experience.
If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines, now’s a good time to dive back in.
