Sky has released the high-octane first-look trailer for Dead Shot (previously titled Borderland), a new Sky Original action-filled political thriller written and directed by Tom and Charles Guard (The Uninvited) based on the screenplay by Ronan Bennett (Top Boy). The film will premiere on Sky Cinema on 12 May 2023.
Dead Shot will see Aml Ameen (I May Destroy You) and Colin Morgan (Belfast, Humans) lead an ensemble cast of scene-stealing British and Irish talent featuring Academy Award® nominee Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything, Rogue One), Mark Strong (Tár, 1917), Sophia Brown (The Witcher: Blood Origin) and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Avengers: Endgame).
When a border ambush goes wrong, a retired Irish paramilitary Michael (Morgan) witnesses the fatal shooting of his pregnant wife by an SAS officer Tempest (Ameen). After outwitting the SAS, now wounded, and presumed dead, he escapes, taking his revenge to the dark and paranoid streets of 1970’s London. Raw and suspenseful, Dead Shot is an adrenaline-fueled thriller that will leave audiences weighing up the true cost of revenge.
Dead Shot is an Upper Street, Stylopik, A Piecrust and Highland Midgie Production, produced by Chris Coen, Brian Coffey, Rebecca L. Brown and Thorsten Schumacher and executive produced by Julia Stuart and Laura Grange at Sky and Norman Merry and Peter Hampden at LipSync, Peter Touche , Christelle Conan and Andrea Scarso at Ingenious Media, Alex Jones and Felicity Jones at Piecrust Productions.
