EA SPORTS FC 27 Ratings Week is officially underway, and EA has revealed the highest-rated players from the Barclays Women’s Super League (BWSL).
Powered by authentic real-world match data, the latest ratings reveal puts Alexia Putellas at the top of the BWSL with an impressive 91 OVR, while Manchester City’s Khadija Shaw follows closely behind with a 90 rating.
With plenty of familiar names packed into the top 27, there is already plenty for the EA SPORTS FC community to debate ahead of the game’s launch.
Alexia Putellas Is the BWSL’s Highest-Rated Player
Taking the number one position is Alexia Putellas, who receives a 91 OVR rating at CM for London City Lionesses.
Putellas is followed by Khadija Shaw of Manchester City with a 90 rating, while Arsenal’s Mariona Caldentey takes third place with an 89 OVR.
Four players sit on 88 OVR, including Mapi León, Yui Hasegawa and Alessia Russo, giving the top end of the BWSL ratings plenty of competition.

EA says the ratings in EA SPORTS FC 27 are powered by authentic match data and are designed to reflect the performances of players across men’s and women’s football.
The game will feature more than 21,000 players across 800+ clubs and national teams, alongside more than 140 stadiums and 35+ leagues.
The full EA SPORTS FC 27 Base Item Database, including statistics for all BWSL players, will be available from August 21 at 6PM BST.
EA Sports FC 27 Release Date
EA SPORTS FC 27 will launch worldwide on September 25, 2026, with early access for Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Plus Edition players beginning on September 18.
The game is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Players who pre-order the Ultimate or Ultimate Plus Edition by August 31, 2026 can also claim an untradeable 85+ OVR International ICON Player Item for Football Ultimate Team, subject to the applicable conditions and restrictions.
The Ratings Debate Has Begun
As always, revealing the ratings means one thing: the debate has officially started.
With Putellas sitting at the top of the BWSL with a 91 OVR, Shaw at 90 and a huge group of players sitting between 85 and 89, fans will no doubt have their own opinions on who deserves a ratings boost and who has been given too much or too little credit.
And with the full player database arriving on August 21, the community will soon have even more statistics to argue over before EA SPORTS FC 27 finally launches in September.
