Unwrap the spirit of Christmas with notjust clothing‘s enchanting Christmas collection, featuring The World of The Snowman, created under license from Penguin Ventures (the licensing and consumer products team at Penguin Random House Children’s UK).
The official collection includes a festive jumper, scarf and blanket which has taken inspiration from Raymond Briggs’ iconic and best-loved picture book, The Snowman which was first published in 1978. Published by Puffin, The Snowman has sold over 5.5 million copies around the world. The new winter range, all designed and produced in the UK, is now available on the notjust website. 50% of the proceeds from each sale, will be donated to Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, a charity of which Raymond Briggs was a friend and patron. To date, notjust has donated over £85,000 to other charities from previous Christmas campaigns.
Leading the new collection is the most iconic and coveted garment associated with The Snowman. The legendary scarf (£19.99) is inspired by the same one worn by cultural icon David Bowie in his own attic during the filmed introduction to The Snowman when the animation was first broadcast in the US. For years fans of The Snowman have searched for this garment and last Christmas, David Bowie’s son rediscovered the original scarf. Now fans can own and wear this legendary item, the perfect accessory for winter festivities.
Next in the collection is a cosy Christmas Jumper featuring The Snowman’s heart-warming face, intricately knitted onto a blue and white snowscape background available in both kids (£29.99) and adult (£39.99) sizes so the whole family can join in the festivities. The warming yuletide sweater, which is made in Manchester, is a testament to expert craftsmanship, It takes 45 minutes to weave the front and back sections, the sleeves are then hand-cut and the collar is delicately attached to ensure a perfect fit and provides you with not just a garment, but a work of art.
To complete the Christmas collection, wrap yourself in nostalgia with The Snowman Winter Blanket (£44.99), emblazoned with one of the most memorable scenes from the story, featuring the young boy James flying over a picturesque winter landscape hand in hand with The Snowman. This large, warming blanket is made from high-quality soft fabric, stitched in a jacquard weave for a cosy, breathable feel. Perfect for snuggling up on the sofa. The blanket is also suitable as a throw, rug or wall hanging to elevate the winter decor of any home.
50% of the proceeds from each sale, being £2.50 per jumper, £3.00 per blanket, and £1.00 per scarf, shall be donated to St Barnabas Hospices (Sussex) Ltd (registered charity number 256789) trading as Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, a charity of which Raymond Briggs was a friend and patron, to ensure we help make a difference.
