It wouldn’t be BlizzCon without some epic esports, and this year was no exception. Top gamers from across the globe travelled to California to battle it out in the finals of some of the biggest Blizzard tournaments of the year.
Finnish competitor Joona “Serral” Sotala made history by becoming the first non-Korean player to win the StarCraft II World Championship Series; Korea’s Gen.G took the crown in the Heroes of the Storm Global Championship; China emerged victorious at the Hearthstone Global Games; Method Orange from North America won the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship; Australian team Free Marsy took home the trophy in the Mythic Dungeon Invitational All-Stars; and South Korea asserted their dominance once again at the Overwatch World Cup.
Congratulations to all of the champions! Check out our BlizzCon VODs to relive the action from the weekend
