Summer Game Fest 2026 has officially wrapped up, and this year’s showcase delivered one of the biggest collections of announcements we’ve seen in recent memory. Packed with world premieres, long-awaited sequels, franchise revivals and surprise reveals, Geoff Keighley’s annual gaming celebration once again proved why it remains one of the most important events on the gaming calendar.
From survival horror and action RPGs to MMOs, racers and indie projects, there was no shortage of exciting announcements for players across every platform. The Biggest Reveals of Summer Game Fest 2026
Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake
Capcom opened the showcase with one of the biggest surprises of the night. After years of fan requests, Resident Evil: Code Veronica is finally receiving the remake treatment. The reveal trailer showcased modern visuals, atmospheric environments and a fresh interpretation of the classic survival horror adventure.
The remake is currently scheduled for release in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
Alien Isolation 2
One of the most requested horror sequels in gaming history is finally happening. Alien Isolation 2 made its debut with a tense cinematic trailer that immediately captured the terrifying atmosphere that made the original such a fan favourite.
The sequel is currently planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
Guild Wars 3
MMORPG fans finally got the announcement they have been waiting years for. ArenaNet officially unveiled Guild Wars 3, giving players a glimpse at an all-new fantasy adventure that promises massive exploration, large-scale battles and a fresh chapter for the long-running franchise.
A beta is currently planned for 2027.
Horror Games Take Centre Stage
Control Resonant
Remedy Entertainment is returning players to the strange world of the Federal Bureau of Control. This new entry shifts focus to Dylan Faden and promises another supernatural mystery packed with bizarre threats and reality-bending encounters.
SAW: Genesis
The iconic horror franchise is entering the multiplayer space with SAW: Genesis. Players will either attempt to survive deadly traps or take on the role of the mastermind creating them in a terrifying three-versus-one experience.

Blood Message introduced players to a story-driven action adventure set in ancient China. The game follows a messenger and his son as they embark on a dangerous journey through hostile territory.

Stranger Than Heaven
This ambitious action adventure combines multiple historical eras, music culture and intense storytelling. Players take on the role of Makoto Daito as they navigate several different periods throughout history.
Gen Atlas
Created by the visionary behind Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian, Gen Atlas looks set to deliver another mysterious and emotionally driven adventure. Players will explore a strange planet filled with unusual structures and secrets waiting to be uncovered.
Haex
Haex promises an open-world experience built around procedural generation, ensuring every journey feels unique. The game combines exploration, monster encounters, puzzles and cooperative gameplay elements.

Major Franchise Returns
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
Ubisoft’s beloved pirate adventure is returning with enhanced visuals and improvements designed for modern hardware. Fans can once again sail the Caribbean and experience Edward Kenway’s journey when the remake launches on 9 July 2026.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin
Inspired by the acclaimed graphic novel, PlatinumGames is delivering a darker and more mature TMNT experience. Players will step into the role of the last surviving turtle as he seeks justice for his fallen family.

Lords of the Fallen II
The sequel to the action RPG franchise showcased stunning fantasy environments, towering monsters and brutal combat. It remains one of the most visually impressive games revealed during the showcase.
Swords of Legends
