ArenaNet has announced Code of Creation, the final major update for Guild Wars 2 Visions of Eternity, bringing the latest expansion’s storyline to its dramatic conclusion while introducing new areas, rewards and challenging group content.
The update continues the story surrounding the mysterious island of Castora, where players have been investigating the activities of the Inquest and uncovering ancient secrets hidden within the island’s magic-infused landscape.
The Story of Castora Comes to an End
Since the launch of Guild Wars 2 Visions of Eternity, players have followed the investigation into the Inquest’s activities on Castora, eventually uncovering the island’s secrets and confronting its powerful seneschals.
The previous chapter, The Only Way, took players deeper into Castora as they pursued Vloxx, a character determined to exploit the island, its magic and even the Inquest to further his own ambitions.
In Code of Creation, players and their allies must prevent Vloxx from making an irreversible decision that could have consequences across Tyria, all while continuing to contend with the ever-present threat posed by the Inquest.
Explore the Leyspring Hollows
The finale introduces a brand-new explorable zone known as Leyspring Hollows. The area provides new opportunities for progression as players train the Rift Amplification Mastery and take on the challenges waiting within the zone.
Players can earn several new rewards, including the Tenebral Ward armour set and Shining Ward weapon set. New relics are also being introduced, giving players additional ways to customise and enhance their builds.
New Wizard’s Vault Rewards
A new season of the Wizard’s Vault arrives alongside Code of Creation, bringing fresh objectives and rewards for players to work towards.
The latest rewards include a new chair, armour and weapon skins, giving players more cosmetic options to unlock while completing the season’s objectives.
Those chasing more prestigious rewards can also pursue the mysterious Wages of Stars legendary sword, alongside a new Volatile Ascension infusion.
New Raid, Fractal and Convergence Content
Code of Creation isn’t just about concluding the story. The update also adds a substantial selection of instanced group content for players looking for tougher challenges.
Nexus of Eternity Raid
Nexus of Eternity is a new 10-player raid encounter, with both Challenge Mode and Legendary Mode planned to follow in the weeks after the update launches.
Solitary Throne Fractal
Players who prefer smaller group encounters can tackle the new Solitary Throne fractal, designed for groups of up to five players. A Challenge Mode will also be added in the weeks following launch.
Nexus of Eternity Convergence
The update also introduces a new Nexus of Eternity Convergence supporting up to 50 players. This large-scale encounter challenges players to race against the clock as they attempt to save Tyria.
