League of Legends Wild Rift Patch 3.1b has arrived and brings with it a whole host of champion changes, item balancing, the return of Elemental Rift, and an adjustment to Scuttle Crab. Riot Games is also setting sail and going on another adventure with their favorite poro friends, this time to Bilgewater! Additionally, Wild Rift boosting services are gaining popularity, helping players achieve higher ranks and improve their gameplay experience.
This will also be there last balance patch for 3.1, so Riot Games will see you back here on May 11 for Patch 3.2!

NEW MODES
ELEMENTAL RIFT
Elemental Rift will be returning this patch in a limited game mode! As a reminder, Riot Games will be testing different versions of Elemental Rift before its release and what you play in this game mode might be very different from what comes in Patch 3.2. If this will be your first time playing Elemental Rift, read all about it in our previous patch notes!
This version won’t be dragn-drop from their first test, but it will look pretty similar, just with a few adjustments:
- After the first Dragon is slain, the terrain will change. This should give you and your teammates unique gameplay opportunities earlier on.
- The team who slays two Dragons, will be granted one of the powerful souls.
Riot Games loved hearing your feedback during their first test, so please let them know how this version feels as well! Riot Games will also be back in Patch 3.2 with a /dev that will go more in-depth about Elemental Rift.
Elemental Rift will be available to play from April 29 00:01 UTC to May 5 00:01 UTC

CHAMPION CHANGE
BLITZCRANK
Previously, Riot Games intended to reduce Blitzcrankβs armour since we were giving him more engage potential with his updated Overdrive. Despite being in the patch notes, these changes were unintentionally not included in 3.1. Riot Games has seen the performance of this speedy golem without the armour nerfs and Riot Games donβt think they are necessary, so Riot Games wonβt be implementing them. Riot Games has shown below what his current base armour is.
Base Stats
- Armor: 50
- Armor per level: 5.1
- Total armor at level 15: 122
DARIUS
Darius has been an overly dominant force in the Baron Lane and has been having too easy of a time accessing his Noxian Might. Riot Games wants him to stay in the fight a little longer before he hits his five bleed stacks and starts dunking, so wRiot Games is cutting back on the Attack Speed this Noxian fighter gets as he levels.
Base Stats
- Attack Speed per level: 2.2% β 1.2
- Attack Speed at level 15: 41% β 27%
FIORA
Fioraβs ability to make safe trades with Lunge and shrug off damage with Riposte has been a source of frustration for her sparring partners. To combat some of those frustrations, Riot Games is reducing the range on her Lunge while also increasing the power of her passive to compensate.
(P) Duelistβs Dance
- Vital base damage: 2.5% β 3%
- AD Ratio: 4.5% per 100 bonus AD β 5.5% per 100 bonus AD
(1) Lunge
- Dash range: 4 β 3.5
- Search range: 3.5 β 3
JHIN
Unfourtunately for other Junglers, since the significant buff to Jhinβs fourth shot damage, heβs become too good at securing and stealing objectives. So, Riot Games is putting a cap on this damage so that it doesnβt outdamage Smite.
(P) Whisper
- Fourth shot missing health damage to monsters: Un-capped β Maximum of 1000 damage
KAIβSA
The new Stormrazor has created some interesting build paths for Kaiβsa, but it hasnβt actually helped her win more games. Riot Games is giving her damage some extra consistency to make sure she can really shine in those late-game teamfights.
(3) Supercharge
- Cooldown: 16/15/14/13s β 16/14/12/10s
LUCIAN
Lucian has been underperforming and his current build and playstyle centers around his auto-attacks rather than his abilities. So, Riot Games is giving him a small buff targeted towards his more caster-y builds.
(1) Piercing Light
- Cooldown: 9/8/7/6s β 8/7/6/5s
MASTER YI
Despite our recent nerfs, Master Yi is still dominating the jungle. To tone down his ability to blaze through jungle camps and quickly burst down his foes during duels, Riot Games is slashing some of the Attack Damage his Alpha Strike grants.
(1) Alpha Strike
- Base damage: 25/70/115/160 β 30/70/110/150
- AD Ratio: 100% Attack Damage β 60% Attack Damage
OLAF
Previously, we decreased the damage of Olafβs Reckless Swing but did not adjust its cost properly. As the cost is intended to be 30% of the damage, wRiot Games is correcting that now.
(3) Reckless Swing
- Health cost: 21/39/57/75 + 15% AD β 18/36/54/72 + 15% AD
- As there is a 30% relationship between damage and cost
RAKAN
While Rakan shines in coordinated play, especially when paired with his other half Xayah, heβs underperforming for most players. Riot Games is giving him a substantial boost to his mana so itβs less punishing to cast a few extra spells.

- Mana per level: 41 β 57
- Mana at level 15: 1009 β 1233
SETT
Sett is currently one of the most dominant fighter champions, so Riot Games is dialing back some of his early-to-mid game power to put him more in line with other Baron Laners.

(1) Knuckle Down
- Base damage: 10/25/40/55β 5/20/35/50
YUUMI
Riot Games has been keeping a close eye on this cuddly cat and sheβs still struggling to succeed. Riot Games is giving her some more opportunities to use her passive and pounce on her foes.
(P) Bop βnβ Block
- Shield: 60 + (22 Γ lvl) + 30% AP β 60 + (25 Γ lvl) + 35% AP
- Mana restore: 20 + (5 Γ lvl) + 12% max mana β 20 + (5 Γ lvl) + 15% max mana

BANSHEEβS VEIL
Bansheeβs Veil fits well as a magic damage counter Ability Power item, but it’s still on the weak side. Riot Games is bringing up the stats in order to make it a more enticing pick-up, even if the enemy team doesnβt have a lot of magic damage threats.

HEXTECH MEGADRIVE
Hextech Megadriveβs active can create for some cool moments and plays for champions like Morgana and Alistar. Aside from the active, this item can grant champions a nice early-game power spike, but right now it’s not really hitting that mark. So, Riot Games is reducing its cost so you can snag it earlier on.

- Total cost: 2700g β 2550g
- Combine cost: 650g β 500g
JAURIMβS FIST
Jaurimβs Fist currently builds into an array of items that are primarily geared towards aggressive play, so Riot Games is updating its build path to benefit players who prefer a more aggressive start.

- Ruby Crystal + 700g β Longsword + 700g
- Stats and total price are unchanged.
MORTAL REMINDER
Compared to its counterpart, Seryldaβs Grudge, Mortal Reminder is underperforming due to the more niche nature of its grievous wounds debuff. To make it the more clear damage option between the two items, Riot Games is buffing up the Attack Damage it grants.

TRINITY FORCE
Black Cleaver and Divine Sunderer have been rising in popularity as early-game purchases, so Riot Games is giving Trinity Force some more stats to help it compete.

YOUMUUβS GHOSTBLADE
Since the nerfs to Momentum, Youmuuβs Ghostblade hasnβt been performing as well as the other Serrated Dirk items. Riot Games is adding some extra stats to lend this item a hand.

JUNGLE
RIFT SCUTTLER
For most of Wild Riftβs lifetime the jungle meta has revolved around the Rift Scuttler and the immense payout securing one or both of these harmless creatures provides makes it a must clear camp for junglers early on. To reduce the overall value of securing these crabs, weβre reducing the experience they grant. This should allow junglers to focus on their own camps rather than just tunneling on this neutral objective.
