MY.GAMES has announced a second quarter revenue increase of revenue increase of 33.7% to RUB 7.5 billion ($116.9 million, with 69% of revenue coming from international markets. This revenue share from global markets is up from 67% in Q1 2019, as a result of strong, ongoing performance of existing titles such as the Warface franchise and Hustle Castle, as well as new releases including the open beta for Conqueror’s Blade.
Revenue from mobile games also rose to account for 60% of total revenues. Hustle Castle remains MY.GAMES’ most successful in-house mobile title, crossing 47 million downloads in Q2 2019. With further updates planned throughout the year, the strategy game’s success is expected to continue in the second half of 2019.
“This is only the beginning,” said MY.GAMES CEO Vasiliy Maguryan. “We’re delighted to see revenue increasing as we continue to work toward our goal of drawing 80% of revenue from international markets by the end of 2022.”
Earnings in Q2 were also bolstered by the continued success of MY.GAMES’ other hit mobile titles Left to Survive, Tacticool and War Robots. Free-to-play shooter Warface continued to prove popular on PS4 and Xbox One as well, and on PC with the ‘Mars’ update launching in June.
The substantial growth coincides with the official launch of MY.GAMES, which brought all games, services, and studios under a single brand. Q2 also saw the launch of MY.STUDIO, an investment initiative to find a new AAA development partner and fully-finance the founding of a new studio and development of its first AAA shooter title.
“With more projects set to release throughout 2019, the launch of our new gaming and media platform and much more, we’re confident our pattern of success will continue through Q3, Q4 and beyond,” Vasiliya Maguryan concluded.
Earlier this week, MY.GAMES announced a new strategy mobile game, American Dad! Apocalypse Soon. Developed in partnership with FOX Next, the game is set to release on iOS and Android devices this fall.
