Philips Evnia is expanding its ambient lighting ecosystem for gamers with a new feature called AmbiScape, designed to extend synchronised lighting beyond the monitor and into the surrounding environment.
Building on existing technologies such as AI-Enhanced Ambiglow and Windows Dynamic Lighting support, the new system aims to create a more unified gaming setup where on-screen action directly influences both display lighting and compatible room devices.
The experience is managed through the Philips Evnia Precision Center and connects via USB upstream for configuration and control.
A More Responsive Gaming Environment
Evnia’s lighting systems are designed to reflect in-game activity in real time. As gameplay shifts between calm exploration and fast-paced action, ambient lighting adapts to match the visual tone on screen.
The goal is to create a more cohesive experience where the gaming environment feels connected to the display rather than separate from it.
AI-Enhanced Ambiglow
AI-Enhanced Ambiglow adjusts the monitor’s ambient lighting based on what is being displayed. Instead of relying on static presets, it analyses colour balance and scene transitions to dynamically update lighting output.
Users can fine-tune intensity and customise lighting behaviour through profiles within the Philips Evnia Precision Center.
AmbiScape Extends Lighting Into the Room
The new AmbiScape feature introduces a Matter-certified system that synchronises compatible smart lighting devices with on-screen activity.
As scenes change in-game or in media, connected room lighting adjusts in real time to reflect those changes, creating a more immersive and reactive environment.
AmbiScape can be configured through the Precision Center, where users can adjust intensity, behaviour, and room setup. Compatibility may vary depending on software version, region, and connected lighting devices.
The feature is available at no additional cost for compatible Evnia monitors when used with supported Precision Center versions.
Windows Dynamic Lighting Integration
Philips Evnia also supports the Windows Dynamic Lighting program, allowing users on Windows 11 to synchronise RGB lighting across compatible devices through system-level controls.
This integration enables lighting management across supported hardware directly via Windows settings, helping unify device lighting behaviour across a setup.
To enable the feature, users must connect their monitor via USB upstream and configure lighting through Windows 11 settings.
Precision Center Control
The Philips Evnia Precision Center serves as the main hub for managing lighting profiles and behaviour.
Users can adjust intensity, switch between profiles, and fine-tune lighting responses across games, media, and general use, helping maintain consistent visual setups across different scenarios.
Availability
AmbiScape will be available to users with compatible Evnia monitors running Precision Center version 1.9. The updated software is scheduled for release on 29 April 2026.
