Razer has announced a new strategic partnership with IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios to enhance immersion in the upcoming title 007 First Light.
The game is a story-driven action-adventure that reimagines the origin of James Bond, placing players in the role of a 26-year-old Bond as he begins his journey within MI6 and the newly reformed 00 section.
Bringing Bond’s World Beyond the Screen
As part of the partnership, Razer Sensa HD Haptics and Razer Chroma RGB technology will be integrated into the experience to extend gameplay beyond the visual layer.
These systems are designed to enhance key gameplay moments such as stealth encounters, combat sequences, vehicle chases, and high-pressure situations, providing additional sensory feedback that aligns with in-game action.
On PC, Sensa HD Haptics will deliver over 80 curated effects tailored specifically for stealth and combat scenarios, while Chroma RGB will offer more than 80 reactive lighting effects that respond dynamically to mission states and environmental changes.
Supported Razer Devices
The integration will be available across select Razer peripherals, including devices designed for both haptic feedback and RGB immersion.
Sensa HD Haptics will be supported on devices such as the Razer Kraken V4 Pro headset, Razer Wolverine V3 Pro controller, and Razer Freyja haptic gaming cushion.
Chroma RGB effects will extend across a wider range of hardware, including the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K, Razer Cobra HyperSpeed, Razer Firefly V2 Pro mouse mat, Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%, Razer Kraken V4 headset, and Razer Blade 16 (2026).
Players will also be able to stream the game via Razer PC Remote Play, with support for the Razer Kishi V3 Pro XL for mobile-style gameplay on the go.
A Focus on Immersive, Intentional Design
According to IO Interactive Gameplay Director Andreas Krogh, the game focuses on Bond’s development through decisions, risk, and high-pressure situations, with gameplay designed around situational awareness and precision.
The partnership aims to translate those gameplay moments into subtle sensory feedback rather than overwhelming effects, reinforcing stealth, escalation, and impact through hardware integration.
The goal is to ensure that changes in tension and gameplay state are reflected naturally through haptics and lighting, helping players stay connected to what is happening in-game.
A Growing Immersion Ecosystem
This collaboration also forms part of Razer’s broader immersive ecosystem, which now supports over 100 titles across multiple genres using curated hardware effects designed to complement gameplay rather than distract from it.
