Raw Fury and developer Exnilo Studio have released Rivage, an immersive sci-fi puzzle adventure set aboard the mysterious A.R.E.S. space station.
The game is now available on PC via Steam, as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud. Players take on the role of Miranda, who arrives at the 25th-century space station searching for answers after its crew mysteriously disappears.
Things quickly become more complicated when Miranda finds herself trapped within a time-bending cosmic phenomenon. Each cycle provides another opportunity to explore the station, solve puzzles and uncover more about what happened to the missing crew.
Explore the Abandoned A.R.E.S. Station
Rivage puts much of its mystery into the environment itself. The A.R.E.S. station is designed as a fully interactable space, with players able to examine objects, investigate research data and search abandoned workstations for clues.
Artifacts, notes and other pieces of information scattered throughout the station help build a picture of what happened before Miranda arrived. Rather than simply moving from one puzzle to the next, exploration is an important part of working out the station’s history.
A Mystery Told Through the Missing Crew
The crew of A.R.E.S. each had their own goals, fears and philosophies, with their stories now surviving through journals, personal logs and encrypted messages.
As Miranda explores the station, these fragments gradually reveal the relationships between the crew and the effects that isolation had on them. The story combines the scientific mystery surrounding the station with the more personal experiences of the people who once lived there.
Puzzles Built Around Time and the Environment
The puzzles in Rivage are tied directly into the station and the strange phenomenon affecting it. Players will need to repair broken systems, realign mechanisms and overcome environmental challenges while dealing with concepts such as gravity, magnetism and the flow of time.
The time-loop structure means players can use knowledge gained during one cycle to approach later attempts differently. Understanding what happened previously becomes just as important as solving the puzzle immediately in front of Miranda.
The K9 System Keeps Track of Progress
Miranda is also equipped with the K9 System, which helps record discoveries and allows certain puzzle solutions to be retained between cycles.
This is designed to reduce the need to repeat everything from scratch, letting players concentrate on the larger mystery and the unexplained distortions consuming the station.
Rivage Is Now Available
Rivage combines environmental puzzle solving, exploration and a time-loop mystery as Miranda attempts to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of the A.R.E.S. crew.
With the station hiding its secrets across multiple time cycles, players will need to pay attention to the smallest details if they want to understand exactly what happened aboard A.R.E.S.
Rivage is available now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Xbox Play Anywhere support across Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud.
