Outright Games and Sesame Workshop have released Sesame Street Friends & Fun, a new family-friendly adventure that brings the iconic neighbourhood to consoles and PC for the first major Sesame Street console game in 15 years.
Available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, the game focuses on kindness, creativity, community and playful learning. Players can create their own fully customisable character and help the neighbourhood prepare for its biggest celebration of the year: the Big Block Party.
Explore Sesame Street and Meet Familiar Faces
Players can explore three colourful locations inspired by the world of Sesame Street, each filled with activities, challenges and familiar characters. The neighbourhood includes a Community Garden, Bandstand and Farm, while a sunny Park and attraction-filled Fun Fair offer more places to discover.
Several much-loved characters are ready to lend a hand, including Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Tango, Grover, Cookie Monster, Ernie, Bert, The Count, Oscar the Grouch and Big Bird.
Activities range from cooking with Cookie Monster and helping Abby with her magic to caring for Tango and keeping an eye on some mischievous chickens. Each task helps players get the neighbourhood ready for the upcoming Big Block Party.
More Than 100 Mini-Games and Activities
Sesame Street Friends & Fun features more than 100 mini-games and activities designed to combine exploration, storytelling and learning in an accessible experience for younger players.
Children can practise counting, tracing shapes, sorting objects and solving problems, alongside creative challenges and playful activities. The aim is to encourage learning through exploration rather than making it feel like a classroom exercise.
The game also lets players customise their character and living space. A selection of clothing, furniture and decorative items allows children to design their own home and add personal touches to parts of the neighbourhood.
Play Together in Local Co-op
Designed with younger players in mind, the game features intuitive controls and a welcoming environment centred on helping others and working together.
Players can enjoy the adventure alone or invite a friend or family member to join through two-player local co-op. This provides an opportunity for families to explore Sesame Street together, complete activities and prepare for the Big Block Party.
