Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has officially unveiled new details for TEKKEN 8 Season 3, confirming the return of fan-favourite character Bob, also known as the “Onigiri Saviour”, during a live reveal at EVO 2026 in Las Vegas.
The announcement took place during a high-profile tournament weekend where Arslan Ash was crowned champion, adding extra spotlight to the reveal of the game’s expanding roster.
Bob Returns With Speed, Power, and Fast-Food Justice
Bob makes his return to the TEKKEN roster following a storyline involving recovery after a brutal encounter with Bryan Fury during the events leading up to The King of Iron Fist Tournament 7.
During his recovery, Bob’s frustration with hospital food led him to develop his own burger recipes, eventually launching a successful fast-food empire that later expanded into his signature product line, “Bob’s Onigiri”.
This unusual backstory ties directly into his character identity in TEKKEN 8, where he balances his comedic persona with a strong sense of justice and physical prowess.

Bob’s return is not just light-hearted, as his narrative arc takes a more serious turn when he crosses paths with Kazuya Mishima and his global domination ambitions.

Driven by his sense of justice and confidence in his “perfect body”, Bob sets out to confront Kazuya and restore balance to the world.
Release Timing for Season 3
Bob will be available early for Season Pass 3 holders on 20 August, before being released to all players on 25 August.
He joins previously released character Kunimitsu, with additional fighters including Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma planned for future updates in Season 3.
