War Child UK – the specialist charity for children caught up in conflict – has announced the return of their ground-breaking charity campaign Game Action, in association with numerous games content creators, developers and publishers.
Game Action Campaign
Launched last year, the Game Action campaign was a huge success, with over 30 studios taking part and £100K raised for children impacted by conflict.
Now it’s returning for a second sale taking place from August 24th – 31st.
War Child UK
This year, War Child wants their charity Steam sale to be even bigger and better. They’re inviting developers and publishers from across the industry to enter their games, donating a percentage of their revenues from the sale to a great cause. War Child will also be promoting the sale through various media partnerships; email and social marketing campaigns; and partnerships with gaming influencers.
All money raised during Game Action will go towards helping War Child to support their emergency response in Ukraine and surrounding countries. Donations will help to raise funds for their programmes supporting children impacted by conflict in Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic.
