More confirmation for XBox One from Don Mattrick
Xbox One will support indies, according to Microsoftβs head of interactive entertainment, Don Mattrick, via an βindependent creator program,β saying thereβs βno wayβ the firm would build a console without that in mind.
βWeβre going to have an independent creator program,β he said. βWeβre going to sponsor it. Weβre going to give people tools. That is something we thinkβI thinkβis important. Thatβs how I started in the industry. Thereβs no way weβre going to build a box that doesnβt support that.β
Mattrick said Microsoft is βgoing to give more informationβ on its indie support in the future, re: E3 we assume.
