If you’re like me, the multiplayer version of a game is more fun than the game itself. I am not saying that I don’t enjoy playing the game, but I find that I get much more out of playing a game online against players of all ages spread out throughout the world. That said, the multiplayer mode has a number of drawbacks. I’ve decided to compile a list of the five most annoying aspects of online video games.
If you are new to the gaming industry and want to be a pro gamer then here is something that can help you. Basically here are 7 tips to be a good gamer in less time.
Online video games: aspects
5. Lengthy Intermissions
Nothing ruins your momentum during specific times of multiplayer matches is the overly annoying wait times between matches. I understand games take time to find enough players to balance the teams and that once the map is chosen they need a good time to load, but I still find it super annoying.
4. Smack talks excessive
I get it. You won the match. Congratulations. I don’t need to hear how much you PWNED me during the replay and stats page at the end of a match. I understand some is to be expected, but it can be extremely annoying. The worst thing is that it is usually a young kid (I have nothing wrong with players of all ages) who are talking insane amounts of smṣack at the other players.
I have even seen yelling matches ensue as a result of this behavior to the point that I am sure a fight would have broken out if this was live play. The funny thing is that it is usually people of different ages verbally sparring with one another. One thing is for sure about smack talk is that it makes me up to my game for the next match.
3. Distracting talk/music
Just a reminder, there is a mute button on your mic. Communicating with your team during team deathmatches is an integral part of dominating a game, but it can have major downfalls. Unrelated chatter, players humming or overly loud music during a game can be very nerve-racking. I have heard players have long and personal phone calls during the game, arguments with their parents or significant other, and dogs seemingly barking right by the microphone. This is one of the main reasons I mute all players during the game. The other reason is number one so keep reading.
2. Frickin Campers
Many of you may think that camping should be number one on my list, but alas there are other more annoying aspects of multiplay. For those of you who don’t know what camping is, here is a brief overview. Camping is a term used most frequently in first-person shooter video games, and refers to the act of hiding or otherwise remaining in a hidden, obscured, or safe location in order to ambush an enemy or objective or to avoid harm.
Some may call this a smart tactic to win the game while others claim that camping is cowardly and cheap. I happen to fall in the middle of the debate, hence the fact this is number five on my list.
I remember the days of playing Medal of Honor: Allied Assault on my PC with my gaming clan and people would camp at spawn points to immediately kill players as they spawned. Most video games are designed to avoid this from happening, but it can still be extremely annoying.
1. Abuse, homophobia, racism, and sexism
These types could each be annoying on their own, but I felt like combining them into one convenient category. Gamers need to learn some manners. I understand that the vast majority of gamers may be immature teens, but their behavior is unacceptable nonetheless. Sure, you may get caught up in the moment and react be overly expressive, but there are too many times players cross the line in their language. And many of them are addicted to games like F95Zone. If you are one of them then you also need to know about F95Zone. Here is the blog everything about F95Zone.
First, there is no need to be abusive to someone during the game. Players of all sexes and races should feel comfortable when playing online video games. Put your personal opinions/politics aside and just play the damn game. Boozers.
