Last week at SXSW, SEGA hosted “Gotta Go Fast: The Official Sonic the Hedgehog Panel” and revealed a range of announcements based on the beloved blue hedgehog!
Highlights from the event include:
- Sonic Mania Plus Announced – The definitive retail version of the original packed full of extra content all wrapped up in a pristine collectible physical package. An Encore DLC pack was also announced for owners of the original digital version of Sonic Mania which will contain the same gameplay content.
- Sonic Mania Adventures Announced – A new animated series featuring story elements from the Sonic Mania universe.
- Sonic the Hedgehog Comics by IDW – Main cover reveal featuring artwork by Tyson Hesse
- PUMA Partnership – SEGA Europe X PUMA collaborate for Limited Edition Sonic the Hedgehog Apparel
- Upcoming Sonic Game Project – A teaser video was shown for the new upcoming Sonic Game, to be revealed soon.
For all gamers who purchased the original digital version of Sonic Mania on console and PC, an Encore DLC pack will be available for sale to access the new features, with more details to come at a later date.
