SEGA has revealed Japan as the second international destination coming to Crazy Taxi World Tour, following its announcement during today’s Xbox Livestream at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
The Japan map is the third of five locations planned for the game’s new single-player World Tour story campaign, giving players another large environment to explore at full speed when the new Crazy Taxi adventure launches.
Crazy Taxi Heads to Japan
The Japan map combines the hustle and bustle of a modern Japanese city with historic neighbourhoods, giving players plenty of contrasting environments to tear through behind the wheel.
Players will be able to blast through expressways winding between towering skyscrapers, while also taking in some recognisable Japanese locations along the way. The map will feature stops including ICHIRAN, Kani Doraku and SHIBUYA109.
As you’d expect from Crazy Taxi, the emphasis is firmly on high-speed driving, with players able to race through the city and its surrounding roads while taking in the different sights and environments Japan has to offer.
Five Maps Planned for World Tour
The Japan location is the third of five maps that will make up the single-player World Tour story campaign. SEGA has been gradually revealing the international destinations that will form part of the new adventure.
The new game is being positioned as an all-new, high-octane take on the Crazy Taxi series, bringing its trademark arcade driving action to a new generation of platforms.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour Launches in 2027
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is currently scheduled to launch in 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
The game will also support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players to access the title across supported Xbox and PC platforms with the feature.
Wishlists are currently available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam and PlayStation 5, giving players the chance to add the game ahead of its 2027 release.
