The Gfinity Challenger Series has returned for Season 4, kicking off on Monday 30th July. The Challenger Series opens the gateway to both amateur and professional players of EA SPORTS FIFA, Rocket League and Street Fighter V to represent a world-famous professional esports team and take to the stage at the Gfinity Esports Arena in London to play in the Elite Series.
Gamers of any level, from anywhere in Europe, can sign-up for free to the Challenger Series where players are encouraged to play for ranking, or G-points. Players can choose from any of Gfinity’s three leading titles, FIFA, Rocket League or Street Fighter V, and will spend six weeks competing online, going head to head with fellow competitors.
Gfinity’s Challenger Series Season 4 will come to an end on Sunday 16th September when the top 30 players will enter the Elite Draft in the hope of being selected by one of the 10 professional teams to play in the Elite Series. In the space of just six weeks, players can go from amateur competitors playing in their bedrooms to Elite Series all-stars and fully professional esports athletes.
The Gfinity Challenger Series has proved an integral component of finding fresh esports talent, including the emergence of Conran ‘Rannerz’ Tobin who was drafted by FNATIC in Season 3. He competed throughout the tournament and went on to bring home the FIFA 18 Championship alongside Zimme, solidifying his place in UK esports history and launching his pro career. The Challenger Series is a unique and inclusive opportunity for anyone to take their chance and make it as an esports star or simply win cash prizes which are made available in each daily tournament.
