EZVIZ Inc has announced the UK availability of its 3-Megapixel Wi-Fi Video Doorbell, the DB1 as well as the DP1 Smart Door Viewer with LCD touchscreen display. Both offer consumers an easy and affordable route to improved home security and personal safety. The DB1 will be available from Amazon for £134.99 and the DP1 from Amazon for £219.99 with other major retailers stocking soon.
The newly launched DB1 is a Wi-Fi video doorbell designed with a 3MP lens that can capture a 180-degree vertical field of view, so users can see visitors from head to toe and see deliveries left on the doorstep in high quality video. It overcomes blurry imaging and blind spots, issues which are common with other smart video doorbells. The DB1 initiates a video call via the EZVIZ App on a user’s smartphone when a visitor rings the bell, so the door can be answered anywhere, at any time, subject to your cellular signal and other environmental factors.
To add an extra layer of security, the DB1 sends an instant alert to a connected smartphone when it detects any human movement thanks to its built-in Passive Infrared (PIR) human detection sensor. With remote viewing and two-way talk capabilities, users can see and communicate with visitors whilst the customisable detection area feature allows users to keep watch on important areas thus reducing false alarms.
Professional Installation is recommended but can be installed by the end user subject to their level of expertise
A 2018 CES Innovation Awards Honoree, the DP1 is a smart door viewer that combines the functions of a traditional door peephole, IP camera and doorbell system into a single-smart device. It offers a 4.3 inch LCD touchscreen display and 124-degree HD wide-angle lens, allowing users to see clearly who is at the door. Featuring PIR (Passive Infrared Sensor) motion alerts for human detection, it instantly sends alarm notifications to homeowners’ smartphones with a picture via the EZVIZ App upon detecting visitors to the door. The EZVIZ App also enables two-way audio via a smartphone so users don’t have to be physically present to communicate with whoever is at the door. A 3-meter IR distance for night vision feature allows users to see and capture videos even when it’s dark outside. Equipped with a 4600mAh low power-consumption, long endurance and rechargeable lithium battery, the DP1 can last up to 3 months, providing homeowners with constant, long lasting protection.
All EZVIZ products can be managed with the all-in-one EZVIZ App wherever the user might be, enabling an enhanced and seamless smart home and smart business experience. The newest additions, as well as some of EZVIZ’s current products, are also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Users can operate EZVIZ cameras by simply speaking to the third-party voice assistants, which could include turning off motion detection when they arrive home or displaying the front door video feed whilst in another part of the house.
To provide more flexible and affordable storage solutions, not only does EZVIZ offer cloud storage, but all of its products are also designed with a MicroSD card slot so no subscription required.
