SEGA has officially announced that Virtua Fighter 5 REVO World Stage will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 26, 2026, marking the long-awaited debut of the iconic 3D fighting series on a Nintendo platform.
This release represents the most complete version of Virtua Fighter 5 to date, bringing the legendary fighter to a new audience while uniting players across platforms.

Full Cross-Play and Rollback Netcode
Virtua Fighter 5 REVO. World Stage features full cross-play support, allowing competitive online matches between players on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Rollback netcode is included across all platforms, ensuring smoother and more responsive online matches. The game also introduces new moves and combos, balance updates, and meaningful improvements to the training mode, making it a strong entry point for newcomers while retaining the depth long-time fans expect.
Nintendo Switch 2 Open Beta Starts February 19
Players eager to jump in early can take part in the Nintendo Switch 2 Open Beta Test, which begins on February 19.
The beta will focus on testing network servers and cross-play performance between platforms. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required to participate on Switch 2.
Pre-Orders and Bonus Content
Digital and physical pre-orders are available now. Anyone who purchases a Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the game — digital or physical — will receive the SEGA Hardware Customisation Item “Genesis™” at no additional cost.
This cosmetic item is inspired by the legendary SEGA hardware and can be equipped by all 19 base characters.
