NC, formerly known as NCSOFT, has announced that Lineage II will launch a brand-new Live server on September 15, marking the first time in more than a decade that the long-running MMORPG has opened a new Live server.
The new server is designed to give both longtime veterans and newcomers the opportunity to experience a fresh start in the world of Lineage II, which has been running for more than 22 years.
Players can already pre-register for the new server and claim a selection of rewards intended to help get their characters started, including a Greater Rune Stone, an A-Grade Challenge Ticket and various useful consumables.
Powerful Rewards for Reaching Level Milestones
Players looking for an additional challenge will have the opportunity to earn some of Lineage II‘s more powerful rewards by reaching a series of level milestones on the new server.
- Level 110: Ruler’s Authority Belt
- Level 111: +5 Queen Navari’s Mask
- Level 112: Gran Kain’s or Einhasad’s Necklace
- Level 113: Sayha’s Ring or Maphr’s Ring
- Level 114: Pa’agrio’s or Eva’s Earring
- Level 115: +30 Limited Krishna Weapon
The rewards provide another incentive for players to push through the early stages of the new server and compete for progression milestones.
500% EXP Boost and Special Launch Events
The launch will also be accompanied by several special events designed to help players progress and compete during the opening period.
Players will receive a 500% EXP Boost, significantly increasing experience gained during the event. A Vitality Maintaining Event will also allow players to level up without consuming Vitality while hunting monsters or defeating bosses.
A dedicated Ranking Event will reward the top 100 players on the server. The player who reaches first place will receive a Dragon Weapon Lv. 2, giving high-level players another reason to compete for the top position.
The launch will also introduce a Virtual Equipment Point Expansion, allowing players to fully equip their characters through the Virtual Equipment System.
New Server Will Follow the Existing Live Schedule
Rather than operating on a separate content schedule, the new Live server will follow the same content schedule as the existing Live servers. This means players joining the new server will have access to the latest content as the server progresses.
NC has confirmed that additional information and updates surrounding the new Live server will be revealed at a later date.
With more than two decades of history behind it, the launch gives Lineage II players a rare opportunity to experience the MMORPG from a fresh starting point, while the combination of progression rewards, boosted experience and launch events should give veterans plenty of reasons to return.
