Razer has announced the Razer Reclusa Mini 65%, a compact wireless gaming keyboard featuring Hall Effect magnetic switches, adjustable actuation, Rapid Trigger and hot-swappable switches. Designed for gamers who want greater control over how their keyboard feels and responds, it also puts a strong emphasis on acoustics and customisation.
The Reclusa Mini 65% builds on the existing Reclusa range, adding magnetic switch technology and wireless connectivity while retaining the series’ focus on a satisfying typing experience straight out of the box.
A Gaming Keyboard Designed to Sound and Feel Better
Razer says the Reclusa Mini 65% has been tuned to deliver a full, clean, clacky sound alongside a softer, cushioned feel when keys bottom out. The idea is to provide an enjoyable experience without requiring owners to open the keyboard and start modifying it themselves.
Underneath the keycaps, Razer has combined its Hall Effect magnetic switches with an IXPE switch foam sheet, a PPS plate, lubricated stabilisers and dual-layer silicone dampening. These components are intended to improve the keyboard’s acoustics and reduce unwanted resonance from the case.
According to Barrie Ooi, Head of PC Gaming Division at Razer, the keyboard was created for enthusiasts who see their board as something personal, with magnetic switches, swappable keycaps and a focus on sound and typing feel.
Adjustable Actuation and Rapid Trigger
The Reclusa Mini 65% uses Hall Effect magnetic switches, allowing players to adjust actuation between 0.1mm and 4.0mm. This means each key can be configured to register with a light touch for fast competitive play or require a deeper press for a more deliberate typing experience.
Rapid Trigger is also included, allowing keys to reset dynamically rather than relying on a fixed reset point. This can be particularly useful in games where repeated, rapid inputs matter.
Razer has added further input options through Advanced Input Control, including Razer Snap Tap, Razer Snap Flex and Dual-Keypress Priority. These features are designed to give players more control over how certain key combinations and movement inputs are handled.
There are also six onboard profiles, allowing users to save different configurations directly to the keyboard.
Wireless Connectivity, With 8,000Hz Polling When Wired
Connectivity is another major addition. The Reclusa Mini 65% supports three connection modes, giving users the option to switch between wireless gaming, multiple devices or a traditional wired setup.
Razer HyperSpeed Wireless provides a 2.4GHz connection designed for low-latency gaming, while Bluetooth supports switching between up to three devices. For those who prefer a cable, USB Type-C connectivity enables a reported 8,000Hz polling rate in wired mode.
A multifunction dial also provides quick access to controls such as brightness and volume, helping users make adjustments without navigating through software or interrupting what they are doing.
Hot-Swappable Switches and Custom RGB Lighting
As its name suggests, the Reclusa Mini 65% uses a compact 65% layout, making it an option for players who want to save desk space without moving to a much smaller keyboard format.
Customisation is a key part of the package. Its hot-swappable PCB allows compatible magnetic switches to be changed, and Razer includes a combined keycap and switch puller to make the process easier.
The keyboard also features south-facing LEDs, intended to improve compatibility with a wider range of enthusiast keycaps while retaining RGB lighting. Its doubleshot ABS keycaps use a tri-tone design, while per-key Razer Chroma RGB supports 16.8 million colours for matching a gaming setup.
Taking the Reclusa Range Further
The Reclusa Mini 65% follows the Reclusa X Mini 65%, expanding the range with Hall Effect magnetic switches and tri-mode connectivity.
For gamers who want a keyboard that can be adjusted to suit their preferred actuation, sound and typing feel, the new model brings several enthusiast-focused features together in a compact design. Its combination of wireless options, hot-swappable magnetic switches and onboard profiles also gives users room to change their setup over time.
