The battle for friendship is returning, as Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 has been announced for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, with a simultaneous worldwide launch planned for Summer 2027.
The sequel follows Dokapon Kingdom: Connect, bringing back the series’ mix of role-playing adventure and tabletop party-game chaos. Players can expect a familiar formula where one lucky turn can put them ahead, while a well-timed move could leave their friends plotting revenge.
More Customisation and Bigger Battles
Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 is set to expand on the original with more character customisation options than ever before. The sequel will also introduce large-scale cooperative battles, where players can decide whether to share the rewards or keep the spoils for themselves.
For those who want to jump straight into the action, a new mode will let everyone begin at a high level with powerful equipment. This should offer a different way to experience the game, although further details on the mode have yet to be announced.
As with the previous game, the appeal is in the balance between role-playing progression and the sort of competitive party-game moments that can quickly turn friendly rivals into sworn enemies.
Announcement Trailer and Thailand Game Show 2026
An all-new announcement trailer offers an early look at the friendship-destroying antics planned for the sequel. More information about the physical and digital releases will be revealed at a later date.
Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 will also make its debut at Thailand Game Show 2026, running from October 29 to November 1, 2026. Visitors to the Japan Pavilion booth will be able to watch the new trailer, play the original Dokapon Kingdom: Connect and receive a giveaway pin badge while stocks last.
With a simultaneous worldwide release planned across all regions, players won’t have to wait for separate regional launches when the game arrives next summer.
