Rebuilt from the Ground Up
Powered by the latest version of Ubisoft’s Anvil engine, the remake has been completely rebuilt with modern technology while preserving the spirit of the original adventure.
Players can expect significantly enhanced visuals alongside a range of gameplay improvements. Combat has been redesigned with a stronger focus on parry-driven encounters, while stealth and parkour systems have been refined to provide a smoother and more responsive experience. Naval gameplay has also been expanded with deeper mechanics, and Ubisoft has added new narrative content to further enrich Edward Kenway’s journey.
Return to the Golden Age of Piracy
Set during the Golden Age of Piracy, players once again step into the boots of Edward Kenway, a charismatic and rebellious pirate captain whose pursuit of wealth and fame draws him into the centuries-old conflict between the Assassins and Templars.
Throughout the adventure, players will encounter some of the most famous pirates in history, including Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, and Calico Jack. As alliances shift and conflicts escalate, the future of the pirate republic hangs in the balance.
Classic Trailer Reimagined
To celebrate the launch, Ubisoft has released a resynced version of the iconic E3 2013 trailer that originally introduced players to Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.
Created in collaboration with artists who worked on the original trailer, the new version showcases the Caribbean with modern visuals powered by the latest Anvil engine, highlighting the dramatic improvements made in the remake.
Expanded Soundtrack Sets Sail
Music remains a major part of the Black Flag experience, with Brian Tyler’s legendary original compositions returning alongside 22 brand-new tracks created exclusively for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced by composer Stephen Lukach.
The Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Original Game Soundtrack is scheduled to launch on July 10.
