Crimson Desert has received its latest update with Patch 1.07.00, bringing a huge list of gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and brand-new combat additions for players to dive into.
The new patch introduces additional boss rematches, expanded unarmed combat abilities for Damiane, new mount options, and several quality-of-life improvements across combat, quests, controls, and visuals. It is another major post-launch update from Pearl Abyss, showing the studio’s continued focus on refining the experience following launch.
Patch 1.07.00 is available now on Steam for both PC and Mac, with the update gradually rolling out across other supported platforms.
New Boss Rematches Added
One of the biggest additions in Patch 1.07.00 is the expansion of the boss rematch system. Players can now revisit and challenge even more bosses throughout the game.
While Pearl Abyss avoided revealing the exact bosses included due to spoiler concerns, the feature gives players more opportunities to revisit some of the game’s toughest encounters and experiment with different builds, strategies, and weapons.
Boss rematches have quickly become one of the most requested features within the Crimson Desert community, especially among players looking for additional endgame challenges.
Damiane Gets New Unarmed Combat Skills
Patch 1.07.00 also expands Damiane’s combat options with the addition of brand-new unarmed combat skills.
Players can now access the new abilities by selecting “Fists” within the skill menu, allowing for a more aggressive hand-to-hand playstyle.
On top of that, both Damiane and Oongka now gain access to a new skill called Aerial Stab, adding more aerial mobility and combo potential during combat encounters.
Kliff also receives an upgrade with the addition of Blinding Flash Finisher for unarmed combat, giving players even more variety when building close-range combat loadouts.
The update additionally improves general unarmed combat animations and allows most unarmed attacks to successfully hit enemies lying on the ground, making melee encounters feel smoother and more responsive overall.
More Mounts and Animal Variety
Players exploring the world of Crimson Desert will also notice more wildlife and mount options following the update.
Patch 1.07.00 increases the number of animals that can be registered as mounts, including additional wolf and bear variants. Certain mounts can now also equip reins, giving players more visual customisation options while travelling across the world.
The update also fixes multiple mount-related bugs, including issues where legendary mounts could not be summoned under specific conditions.
Major Quest and Gameplay Fixes
As expected from a major update, Patch 1.07.00 contains a long list of fixes targeting quests, progression issues, and gameplay bugs that players have encountered since launch.
Several quests that previously became blocked under certain conditions have now been repaired, including:
- Faces on the Bounty Notice
- Ugmon’s Request
- Protectors of the Abyss
- Plentiful Greeting
Players should also experience fewer progression issues involving assembled comrades, mission triggers, and missing quest items.
Meanwhile, visual improvements have been applied to equipment such as the Champion’s Plate Gloves, while bugs involving disappearing items and abnormal NPC behaviour have also been addressed.
Combat Improvements Continue
Combat balancing and animation improvements remain a major focus in Patch 1.07.00.
Oongka’s Explosive Strike now includes a charge phase, while dual-wielding transitions into “Stab” have been improved for smoother combo chaining.
The update also fixes several frustrating combat-related bugs, including:
- Animals constantly falling over when hit
- Horseback attack animation issues
- Weapon flickering during slides
- Excessive movement distance during jump attacks
One particularly important fix resolves an issue where Blackstar’s health would fail to recover properly during the “Deferred Advance” encounter.
Several unnamed boss encounters have also received further stability and balance improvements, though details remain hidden to avoid spoilers.
UI, Graphics, and Stability Fixes
The update additionally improves overall stability and user experience across the game.
Players using AMD GPUs will be pleased to hear that Patch 1.07.00 fixes a GPU crash issue linked to AMD driver version 26.5.1, which had caused stability problems for some users.
Controller users should also notice improved UI consistency, with fixes applied to incorrect keyboard and mouse prompts appearing during gameplay.
Elsewhere, various localisation improvements and translation fixes have been implemented across all supported languages.
Pearl Abyss Continues Supporting Crimson Desert
With Patch 1.07.00, Pearl Abyss continues to show strong post-launch support for Crimson Desert.
The addition of new combat abilities, expanded boss rematches, and meaningful quality-of-life improvements demonstrates that the studio is actively responding to player feedback while continuing to refine the overall experience.
For players already deep into the world of Crimson Desert, Patch 1.07.00 delivers plenty of reasons to jump back in.
