CD PROJEKT RED has released a new trailer for Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2, the upcoming anime set in the neon-soaked world of Night City. Produced in collaboration with legendary animation studio TRIGGER, the series is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix in fall 2026.
The new trailer also confirms fresh details about the show’s soundtrack, characters, and upcoming Anime Expo presentation, giving fans a deeper look at what’s coming next in the Cyberpunk universe.
New Trailer and Music Release
The newly released trailer showcases the tone and direction of the sequel, which follows a completely new cast of characters and tells a standalone story set within Night City.
The featured track, “You Can’t Run From Me” by Rico Nasty, was created exclusively for the anime and is now available on major music streaming platforms.

Story and Creative Team
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 continues to explore the darker side of Night City, focusing on what it truly means to be an edgerunner in a world driven by chaos, ambition, and survival.
The series is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character designs by Ichigo Kanno. The story is written by Bartosz Sztybor of CD PROJEKT RED alongside Masahiko Otsuka.
Production artwork has also been revealed, created by Ichigo Kanno, with ink and colour supervision by Yukiko Kakita and composition by Yuichiroh Tozawa.
Anime Expo 2026 Panel
CD PROJEKT RED will host a dedicated Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles from July 2–5, 2026.
On July 3, attendees will be shown the first episode of the anime in an exclusive screening that will not be recorded or streamed.
The panel will feature key creators including showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, executive producer Saya Elder, director Kai Ikarashi, and voice actor Nazeeh Tarsha, who plays the character “D”. The discussion will be hosted by content creator Danny Motta.
