SNK has announced that FATAL FURY City of the Wolves is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, with the digital version launching on October 22, 2026.
The Switch 2 release will bring the latest entry in the long-running FATAL FURY fighting game series to Nintendo’s latest console, allowing players to take the fight to the streets of South Town at home or on the go.
Two Editions Available at Launch
Players will be able to choose between two different editions of FATAL FURY City of the Wolves on Nintendo Switch 2.
- Standard Edition – $19.99 / €19.99: Includes the base game.
- Starter Edition – $29.99 / €29.99: Includes the base game and additional content, including the Season Pass 1–3 character lineup.
Digital pre-orders are available now through the Nintendo eShop.
The Starter Edition will also receive a physical release on January 21, 2027, with pre-orders expected to open through participating retailers at a later date.
Mai Shiranui Pre-Order Bonus
Players who pre-order the Nintendo Switch 2 version will receive an exclusive DLC classic costume for Mai Shiranui, one of the most recognisable characters in the FATAL FURY series.
The bonus gives returning fans another reason to secure the game ahead of its October launch.
FATAL FURY on the Go
The Nintendo Switch 2 version supports handheld, tabletop and TV modes, allowing players to take the fighting action with them or play on the big screen.
FATAL FURY City of the Wolves combines fast-paced fighting with strategic mind games, bringing the series’ traditional fighting mechanics to a portable format for the first time on Nintendo Switch 2.
Smart Style and Arcade Style Controls
To make the game accessible to both newcomers and experienced fighting game players, FATAL FURY City of the Wolves features two different control schemes.
Smart Style
Smart Style simplifies special moves and combos through easier button inputs, allowing newcomers to jump into battles without needing to master traditional fighting game commands immediately.
Arcade Style
Experienced players can instead use Arcade Style, which retains more traditional inputs and provides the precision and depth expected from a competitive fighting game.
This gives players the option to choose between accessibility and traditional control depending on their experience and preferred way to play.

FATAL FURY City of the Wolves launches digitally on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026.
The Standard Edition will cost $19.99 / €19.99, while the Starter Edition will be priced at $29.99 / €29.99.
The Starter Edition’s physical release will follow on January 21, 2027.
