Konami has announced that a new ranked Endurance Mode is now available in the Apple Arcade-exclusive title Frogger in Toy Town.
Players will be able to put themselves to the test with Endurance Mode as they manoeuvre endless stages, trying to stay alive for as long as possible. This mode will keep competitive spirits high as players can see how their scores rank compared to others around the world! Endurance Mode can be played on three available courses: Toy Town Course, Midnight Course and Party Course.
These courses will be one of two types – Lane Stage or Physics Stage. Lane Stages are the classic action-timing Frogger stages, where players move left or right whilst progressing to avoid obstacles. In Physics Stages, players will need to avoid, or utilise, physics-based obstacles while collecting gems to increase their score. Stages will become increasingly difficult, so players will have to stay vigilant to earn a high score!
Frogger in Toy Town will also be implementing a new Collection Element – Capsule Toys! Earn stamps from Endurance Mode, which can be turned into Toy Coins. Alternatively, earn reward medals from Story Mode. Both can be spent at the Capsule Machine to win one of over 300 Toy Town Capsule Toys. Players can proudly display their Capsule Toys – and trophies – in the Museum. Collecting all toys and trophies will unlock a brand-new Golden Frogger Costume.
Daily and weekly bonuses will also be coming to Frogger in Toy Town. A weekly stamp card will be arriving with Endurance Mode – players will earn Toy Coins by saving up the stamps they get for achieving certain scores. There will also be a daily login bonus to earn even more Toy Coins!
In Frogger in Toy Town, players are tasked with guiding their frog forward to safety, with each level delivering numerous obstacles to evade and challenges to conquer. With toppling blocks, falling books, and other hazards to avoid along the way, Frogger in Toy Town delivers a rich action experience that’s brought to life with cute and colourful 3D graphics. Additionally, gamers can gather with friends and family in local cooperative multiplayer mode to team up on the challenges that lie ahead.
Since its introduction in 1981, Frogger has remained one of the most classic and beloved arcade game franchises of all time. The simple but challenging premise calls for players to avoid dangers, such as cars in the road, alligators, and snakes, and get their frogs back home safely. The game has appeared on various platforms over the years, played by millions of fans around the world.
