KONAMI has released SILENT HILL Townfall, the latest psychological horror game in the long-running SILENT HILL series. Developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn Interactive and co-published by Annapurna Interactive and KONAMI, the game is now available on PlayStation 5, Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Townfall marks a significant change for the series, as it is the first full-length SILENT HILL game to be presented entirely from a first-person perspective.
A New Story Begins on a Remote Scottish Island
Players take on the role of Simon Ordell, an outsider who washes up at the icy marina of St. Amelia, a remote island off the coast of Scotland.
The town is covered in thick fog and silence, with remnants of the people who once lived there appearing alongside fragmented memories. As Simon explores St. Amelia, the boundaries between reality and fiction begin to blur.
While Townfall introduces a new setting and protagonist, the game continues the series’ focus on psychological horror and unsettling environments.
SILENT HILL Goes First Person
The move to first person is one of the biggest changes for the series. Instead of viewing Simon from behind, players experience the island directly through his perspective, creating a more immediate connection with the environment and the threats hiding within it.
Exploration is also closely connected to the game’s puzzles, with players required to investigate their surroundings and work through challenges that are tied into the story.
Combat, Threats and Story-Driven Puzzles
Townfall isn’t just about exploring a fog-covered island. Players will also need to hide from looming threats and survive encounters where combat becomes a matter of life or death.
The puzzles are similarly integrated into the narrative rather than simply existing as obstacles between areas, meaning exploration, combat and puzzle solving all form part of Simon’s journey through St. Amelia.
Standard and Deluxe Edition Bonuses
The Standard Edition includes early purchase and pre-order bonuses in the form of the CRTV Style: Rusted item, while PlayStation 5 players also receive the CRTV Style: Beach Edition as an exclusive bonus.
The Deluxe Edition adds a digital artbook, digital soundtrack and an alternate outfit for Simon.
Pre-order bonuses include 48 hours of early access, the CRTV Style: Rusted item and the CRTV Style: Beach Edition for PlayStation 5.

According to KONAMI, the wider SILENT HILL series has sold more than 17.8 million copies worldwide as of the end of June 2026, including units shipped, store downloads and subscription services.
