Arc Games and Snapshot Games have released a new gameplay trailer for Frosthaven, offering another look at the tactical RPG ahead of its full Version 1.0 launch on October 15, 2026.
Frosthaven is currently available through Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with the upcoming 1.0 release set to bring the game’s full campaign and complete roster of 17 playable heroes to PC.
Explore the Frozen North
Set in the harsh and icy lands of the Frozen North, Frosthaven is a tactical, turn-based RPG that can be played either solo or through co-op multiplayer.
The story takes players into the depths of the Biting Sea after an ancient and immensely powerful artefact begins sending visions of unrest. With the artefact calling out to be found once again, the heroes of Frosthaven must venture both above and below the sea’s dark waters to secure it before it falls into the wrong hands.
Based on the Frosthaven tabletop board game, the digital adaptation combines turn-based combat with character progression, exploration and choices throughout its campaign.
Frosthaven 1.0 Features
The full 1.0 release will introduce a number of additions and improvements, including the complete story campaign and all 17 playable heroes.
- Complete Story Campaign: Players will be able to experience the entire Frosthaven campaign from the tabletop game, including its climactic final chapter.
- Improved Onboarding: A new digital-only Road to Frosthaven introduction and tutorial is designed to make the game’s complex systems and mechanics easier to learn. Additional UI improvements will also help players understand the various systems.
- All 17 Playable Heroes: The complete roster of heroes will be available, with the final hero being added alongside the 1.0 launch.
- Standalone Demo: New players will be able to try Frosthaven through a standalone demo based around the Road to Frosthaven campaign before deciding whether to purchase the full game.
- Enhanced Co-Op: Multiplayer systems and networking have been improved to provide a smoother co-op experience for players looking to tackle the campaign together.
- House Rules: Players can customise their experience through a selection of House Rules, allowing them to adjust elements of the gameplay to better suit their preferred playstyle.
- New Opening Cinematic: A new cinematic introduction will set the scene for the journey into the Frozen North.
- Hero Unlock Videos: Each new hero discovery is accompanied by a dedicated unlockable video introducing the character and their particular playstyle.
- Fully Implemented Codex: The in-game Codex provides information on Frosthaven’s lore, characters, creatures and biomes, giving players an easier way to keep track of the world and its inhabitants.
Frosthaven Launches in October
Frosthaven will leave Early Access and officially launch as Version 1.0 on October 15, 2026, for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Until then, players can already jump into the Early Access version and experience the adventure ahead of the full release.
