Paradox Arc, the publishing label of Paradox Interactive, has announced a new publishing partnership with Blue Isle Studios for Guardians of the Wild Sky, a survival-crafting creature-collecting adventure heading to Steam Early Access next year.
Developed by the team behind Slender: The Arrival, Valley and Citadel: Forged with Fire, Guardians of the Wild Sky combines survival, crafting, exploration, base building and creature collecting within a huge magical world made up of floating biomes.

Explore a World Above the Clouds
In Guardians of the Wild Sky, players will take to the skies aboard their trusty airship and explore a vast world filled with unique floating environments.
These biomes are packed with wildlife, hidden treasures, dangerous creatures and mysterious landmarks, with dynamic environments and climates helping make each expedition feel different.
Players will need to survive the dangers of this world while gathering resources, crafting equipment and expanding their base and airship.
Capture and Befriend Magical Guardians
Creature collecting plays a major role in Guardians of the Wild Sky, with players able to capture and befriend elemental magical companions known as Guardians.
Each Guardian possesses its own unique abilities and traits, allowing players to build a collection of creatures suited to different situations.
These companions aren’t simply collectibles. Guardians can actively help players survive and explore, whether supporting the base, assisting the airship crew or fighting alongside their owner during combat.
Build Everything From Cottages to Flying Castles
Guardians of the Wild Sky also features a deep crafting and building system, giving players considerable freedom when creating their own structures and vehicles.
Players can construct everything from cosy cottages and enormous flying castles to powerful vessels of war, with the game’s mod support available from day one adding even more possibilities for customisation.
The combination of crafting, building and mod support is designed to give players plenty of freedom to create their own solutions for surviving and exploring the world.
Solo or Cooperative Adventure
The adventure can be played solo offline or cooperatively with up to four other adventurers.
Whether playing alone or with friends, players will need to explore the floating biomes, gather resources, discover landmarks, encounter dangerous creatures and uncover the secrets scattered throughout the world.
The game’s dynamic environments and climates should also provide additional challenges as players venture further from the safety of their base.
Paradox Arc Partners With Blue Isle Studios
The new publishing partnership will see Paradox Arc work alongside Blue Isle Studios as the team prepares Guardians of the Wild Sky for its Early Access launch.
Blue Isle Studios Co-Founder Alex Tintor described the partnership as an important milestone for the studio, highlighting Paradox’s experience working closely with communities and its resources to help take the game further.
Denis Komatina, Business Developer at Paradox Arc, also praised the project and its potential for long-term replayability, noting the strong player feedback received so far.
Guardians of the Wild Sky Already Has More Than 450,000 Wishlists
Interest in Guardians of the Wild Sky has already been building ahead of its Early Access launch.
The game’s demo was among the most-played during Steam Next Fest in February 2026, helping the game reach more than 450,000 wishlists to date.
That early response gives Blue Isle Studios and Paradox Arc a strong foundation as development continues towards the planned Early Access release.
