Tandem Events has taken the decision to postpone Develop:Brighton 2020 until November due to the ongoing COVID-19 / Coronavirus crisis.
Develop:Brighton will now take place 2-4 November with the Develop:Star Awards taking place on 3 November. Both events will take place at the Brighton Hilton Metropole.
The conference and awards will follow the existing format, with Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard still set to deliver this year’s headline keynote and receive the Develop Star Award in recognition of his accomplishments and contributions to the industry.
Changes may be made to the list of announced speakers over the next few weeks as their availability on these new dates is established.
Conference passes that have already been purchased will automatically carry forward to the new dates and anyone unable to attend the November dates should contact the organisers directly.
“We’re obviously disappointed to be making this decision but it wasn’t a difficult one given the current uncertainty. The health and wellbeing of everyone is paramount,” said Tandem Events managing director Andy Lane.
“By moving the event to November, it means the show will go on and we can look forward to seeing everyone in Brighton, albeit a few months later.”
Entry submissions for the Develop:Star Awards will remain open until Friday 24 July.
