Frontier Developments, in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, has released Jurassic World Evolution 3: Crocodilia Coast, bringing a dangerous new predator and several new prehistoric species to the park management game.
Available now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the new DLC is priced at £11.99/$14.99/€14.99 and introduces the first crocodile species to the Jurassic World Evolution franchise.
Deinosuchus Arrives in Jurassic World Evolution 3
The headline addition to Crocodilia Coast is the Deinosuchus, a fearsome prehistoric predator that lurks beneath the water waiting for an opportunity to strike.
When unsuspecting prey gets too close, the Deinosuchus can launch a powerful deathroll attack. Its long, broad snout and muscular tail make it a formidable aquatic predator, while its quadrupedal walking style means it can also pose a threat when moving around on land.
The Deinosuchus provides park managers with an entirely new species to incorporate into their aquatic habitats, adding another dangerous element to managing the prehistoric creatures within their parks.
Four More Prehistoric Species Join the Park
The Crocodilia Coast Pack isn’t just about the Deinosuchus. Four additional species are also being introduced, including two distant relatives of modern crocodiles.
Postosuchus is a heavily armed predator featuring a deadly jaw packed with dagger-like teeth and an armoured body, making it a particularly intimidating addition to any prehistoric park.
In contrast, the herbivorous Desmatosuchus takes a much more defensive approach to survival. Covered in defensive adaptations and possessing a calmer temperament, it offers a striking contrast to the aggressive Postosuchus.
The Styxosaurus family unit takes its name from the mythical River Styx and introduces another notable feature to Jurassic World Evolution 3. Juvenile Styxosaurus can feature the franchise’s first-ever bioluminescent skin, adding an unusual visual element to the species.
Completing the new species additions is the late Triassic period Shonisaurus family unit, which is designed to complement the game’s lagoon environments.
Build a Jurassic Waterfront
Alongside the new species, the Crocodilia Coast Pack provides park managers with a range of new scenery options designed around creating impressive waterfront areas.
Players can use everything from waterfront huts and boardwalk blueprints to a wide selection of scenery pieces, props, lights and signage.
A full wall kit is also included, allowing players to create customised windswept areas around their new species enclosures and lagoons.
With hundreds of scenery pieces available, park managers have plenty of options for creating a distinctive coastal area to house their latest prehistoric additions.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 Update 1.4.1
Launching alongside Crocodilia Coast is Update 1.4.1, a free update available to all Jurassic World Evolution 3 players.
The update adds a new square Hawaiian Sandbox map, workshop collections and the Elasmosaurus family unit, alongside further improvements and additions to the game.
This means players don’t need to purchase the Crocodilia Coast Pack to benefit from the latest free content included in Update 1.4.1.
