Shueisha Games has announced that JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON, its upcoming survivors royale game based on the popular Jujutsu Kaisen series, has been delayed from its previously planned 2026 release to 2027.
The publisher says the additional development time will be used to further improve the game ahead of release. A new second trailer has also been released, while players will get their first opportunity to actually play the game during a world-first playtest at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
What Is Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton?
JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON is an online survivors royale that allows up to eight players to battle against hordes of Cursed Spirits while also competing against one another.
Players take control of characters from Jujutsu Kaisen, defeating enemies to grow stronger and improve their abilities while attempting to outlast their rivals.
The game uses a distinctive pixel-art visual style inspired by poncle’s Vampire Survivors, bringing characters and abilities from the anime and manga into a very different type of survival-focused experience.
New Trailer Reveals Playable Characters and Bosses
The second trailer provides another look at the playable characters and their attacks, with the showcased content also forming part of the playable build planned for Tokyo Game Show 2026.
The trailer also reveals pixel-art versions of eight bosses that players will face throughout the game.
The boss lineup includes Naoya Zen’in, Kenjaku, Junpei Yoshino, Jogo, Mahito, Uraume, Eso and Toji Fushiguro.
Naoya Zen’in and Kenjaku were previously revealed during Juju Fes 2026, while the remaining bosses have now been confirmed as part of the game’s lineup. These bosses will also appear in the Tokyo Game Show playtest.
Create Your Own Fighting Style With Unite Build
One of the game’s systems is the Unite Build, which allows players to create customised attack combinations as they progress through a match.
As a character levels up, players can strengthen their chosen character’s abilities while also incorporating techniques from other characters into their build.
This allows players to experiment with different combinations of skills and create their own fighting style while taking advantage of the abilities of other characters.
World-First Playtest Coming to Tokyo Game Show
Shueisha Games will host the world’s first public playtest of JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which begins on September 17.

At the end of a match, the two players with the highest scores advance to a final showdown, where they compete to become the champion.
The version available at the show is still undergoing development and balancing. Shueisha Games will also collect feedback from players through a survey at the event.
