Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has announced that Once Upon A KATAMARI is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, with a new launch trailer featuring the Prince and his Cousins also available to watch.
The launch also sees the release of the paid Rolling LIVE Highlights DLC, which is available today across Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
Roll Through Time With the Prince
Once Upon A KATAMARI sends players across different eras, from prehistoric times to historic Japan and beyond, as they roll objects into increasingly enormous Katamari to restore the stars accidentally destroyed by the King of All Cosmos.
The latest adventure begins after a castle clean-up goes spectacularly wrong, resulting in the destruction of Earth, the Moon and countless stars. Guided by a mysterious scroll, the Prince and his Cousins must travel through time and restore the night sky.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version introduces new mouse controls designed to offer a different way to roll your Katamari, alongside smoother frame rates and improved visuals.
Rolling LIVE Highlights DLC Arrives
The new Rolling LIVE Highlights DLC is inspired by content from Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE and is available separately or as part of the Once Upon A KATAMARI Rolling LIVE Highlights Edition.
The DLC adds 10 new missions, six Cousins, 12 songs and 18 accessories. Players will also roll through content inspired by the world of live streaming, helping the King increase his popularity and impress audiences across the cosmos.
Free Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade
Players moving from Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch 2 can transfer their save data, provided there is no existing save data for the game on the new console.
Owners of the Nintendo Switch version who play on Nintendo Switch 2 will also receive a free update that improves performance and adds the new mouse controls.
Once Upon A KATAMARI is available now on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. A limited-time launch discount is also available on participating platforms, with pricing and availability varying by storefront.
