Digital Extremes has released a brand-new narrative chapter for Warframe titled Jade Shadows Constellations, now available free on all platforms. The update continues the emotional Jade Shadows storyline while introducing new gameplay systems, Warframes, missions, and a wide range of additional content.
Designed as a continuation of the ongoing narrative arc, the update explores themes of family, sacrifice, and identity through the perspective of the Stalker, while expanding the game’s universe with fresh missions and powerful new gear for players to discover.
Warframe Jade Shadows Constellations
A New Chapter Focused on Fatherhood and Conflict
At the heart of Jade Shadows: Constellations is a new Quest that sees players return to the role of the Stalker as he confronts an emotional conflict involving his son and competing versions of his future.
Inspired by shonen-style storytelling, the narrative explores a deeply personal struggle as two divergent timelines collide. Players are drawn into a confrontation between Sirius and Orion, two versions of the same powerful entity fighting for survival and control over their existence.
The storyline continues Warframe’s tradition of blending high-concept science fiction with grounded emotional storytelling, focusing this time on the complexities of fatherhood and legacy.
New Protoframes and Railjack Missions
The update introduces two new Protoframe mentors, Ryoku (Ash) and Vena (Garuda), each offering unique perspectives and abilities. After completing the new Quest, players can align with one of these characters and unlock new Railjack gameplay opportunities.
These missions take place in Uranus Proxima, where players can command customised Railjack vessels, recruit Protoframe allies as permanent crew members, and engage in large-scale ship-to-ship combat against opposing forces.
The new Railjack content is designed to expand cooperative space combat while offering more narrative integration between characters and gameplay systems.
The 65th Warframe: Sirius & Orion
A major highlight of the update is the introduction of the 65th Warframe, a dual-aspect character known as Sirius & Orion. Unlike traditional Warframes, this entity allows players to seamlessly switch between two distinct combat forms during battle.
As Sirius, players wield a scythe that can be thrown across the battlefield while generating a protective healing sanctuary for allies. In contrast, Orion focuses on aggressive melee combat, unleashing devastating slashes and summoning a black hole that draws enemies into its centre.
The two forms culminate in a shared ultimate ability, where both identities clash in a destructive aerial attack capable of wiping out enemies caught in its path. This dual-system design offers a unique twist on Warframe’s already highly customisable combat mechanics.
Styanax Prime and New Arsenal Additions
Styanax Prime joins the Prime Access roster with enhanced stats, including increased energy and shields, along with an additional Naramon polarity slot. The update also introduces new weapons, including the Afentis Prime Speargun and Athodai Prime Pistol, alongside exclusive Prime cosmetics such as Syandanas and armour sets.
Players can unlock Prime items through gameplay progression or purchase them directly via the Warframe Marketplace, continuing the game’s hybrid progression model.
Cosmetics, Weapons and Ability Updates
Beyond the headline content, Jade Shadows: Constellations also delivers a wide range of additional updates, including new cosmetics, weapon variants, and ability adjustments.
The scholar-turned-warrior Dante receives a new Tytonis skin, while Nidus benefits from a reworked ability set designed to improve survivability and combat effectiveness. These changes aim to refresh older content while keeping existing Warframes competitive in modern gameplay.
Additional content includes two new scythe melee weapons themed around opposing timelines, new Protoframe hairstyles for Operators and Drifters, four new Atragraph Mods, and five new Incarnon weapons to master.
