Wreckout has won the Jägermeister Track and Build competition. As winners, award winning cinematic bass duo, Koven are set to produce the games soundtrack.
“Wreckout looks awesome” Koven remarks on the back of the win “We’re looking forward to working on some great tracks to make it shine even more.”
Huey Games’ Wreckout is set for release later this year on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One, and will also be available for the upcoming next generation platforms. Described as the ultimate arcade multiplayer game for the eSports generation, it was also recently a finalist in Ukie’s UK Game of the Show showcase.
It’s the second year of the Track and Build initiative, which searches for an indie game, with the winner having a soundtrack created for it by an upcoming music artist and overseen by award-winning cinematic bass duo Koven. Based in London and comprised of Katie Boyle and Max Rowat the duo have lent their music talents to the likes of Fortnite and Rocket League.
Commenting on the win Jägermeister’s Music Manager Tom Carson says:
“The standard of entries for Track and Build was exceptional this year, as evidenced by a game of Wreckout’s quality winning the competition.
“The gameplay looks fantastic and it really lends itself to a thumping soundtrack, which we’re now looking forward to helping provide to the team at Huey Games.”
Huey Games’ Director Rob Hewson added:
“It’s great to see that Wreckout has won Track & Build 2020 and can’t wait to hook up the new soundtrack in-game. It’s a real honour to have Koven overseeing it, and we can’t wait to deliver an electrifying gameplay experience to match the incredible music”.
The next phase in the Track and Build initiative is to find an upcoming music artist to lend their tracks to Wreckout, with Koven overseeing the project.”
